50' CATAMARAN STYLE ALUMINUM RACE BOAT HULL

What is offered for sale is a piece of offshore boat history. This boat is 18,000 pound aluminum 50 foot cougar twin V hull which has been professionally stripped. The beam is 13 feet with a hall of solid flat stock aluminum. A custom transport trailer built in 1984 by Myico goes with the hull. Myico is still in business in Bradington Florida and still makes custom transport trailers for the military. The trailer is balanced slightly by hydraulics about a 30 angle to fit down the road. The trailer is 55. feet. Long and 8 feet wide, custom fit to conform exactly to the hall. One of the tires is flat. The buyer is responsible to move the boat and trailer from its current location. This duo was purchased at a local auction and there is a bill of sale for the boats. And also a Billis sale for the trailer. The Hull still carries a 2008 Florida registration sticker is still on the hull. I personally saw this project arrive at our storage facility about a year ago. In researching this hull. I was told that there were four of these cougar hulls made in 1983. One was scrapped, one was converted into a tour boat and two were raced. One of those was Eric's reality the first black American also racer. And the other one was Al Copland. Famous Popeye. Steve Ware was the driver. Several offshore race fans have told me this information about the hull. A picture of the Popeye bowl was part of the paperwork that I got when I purchased the boat at the auction.
