Length: 24' (24 feet)Beam: 9'8" (9 feet 8 inches)Year: 1985Engine: Single Inboard Freshwater Cooled Crusader 454XL, Water pump replaced, heat exchange tested and serviced within 1 yr.Fuel: 150 gal Gas (2 - 75 gal aluminum tanks, new in 2009)Water: 30 gal freshwater with transom shower, saltwater wash down.Construction: Foam Core, no wood in decks and no rot.Trailer: heavy duty, good condition, springs and hardware less than 1yr old.Extras: Custom tower with controls, custom extra large dive platform, walk through transom with tuna door, cuddy cabin, very spacious, large transom fish boxes, removable live well with plumbing, freshwater tower misting system around helm for thosehot days.
The 24' Captiva is a rare boat. Only 100 were produced and of them only 47 were center console. The boat is a fishing, diving and relaxing machine designed as a workhorse. All maintenance items are east to reach and with little trim the boat is east to upkeep. For fishing:A straight inboard is great for trolling leaving very clean water behind the boat and a clean transom for your lines It's also very efficient averaging about 3-4 GPH while trolling. The wide beam is very stable while drifting and has plenty of room to move around in comfort.Add the excellent visibility from the custom tower to spot the fish and game on! The tower also has an additional 6 rod holders.Large transom fish boxes.Transom door to pull in your catch.Freshwater and saltwater wash down. For diving:Tank storage in transom for 5 tanks in fish boxes.Walk through transom for easy exit/entry.Deck space for prepping gear.Stable at anchor, easy to safely move around.Plenty of freshwater to clean gear before you get to the dock. This design is also easy to trailer but very well suited to leave in the water with minimal maintenance. Much better than I/O's and Outboards.Maintenance is easy to access, the console tilts to access the engine and all the center panels lift out for full access to the bilge and drivetrain.Cuddy has a standard V Berth with storage and space for a porta potty. The space is wide enough to put a queen sized air mattress to sleep comfortably and if needed sleep 3 people side by side.If your just looking to party it easily holds 10-12 people for a day in the cove at anchor, with easy access in and out of the water. Sit on the platform 5 people wide just to get your feet wet or dive in.Issues:The motor is not in running condition. I believe it is salvageable but a repower may be needed. At minimum it will require new risers and manifolds.During it's last use a riser failed and the engine ingested saltwater into the oil. It ran back to the dock with no issues and all cylinders firing. The oil was changed and the boat ran to the ramp to trailer it. Again it ran fine except for ingesting more water in the oil. The motor was properly pickled for storage and has been completely filled with fresh oil. Many of these boats have been converted to diesel, Cummings 6BT's are popular. Also it originally came with a Chevy 350 block. The current Crusader 454 was an upgrade but with current technologies a Vortec 350 puts out about the same torque and HP but with much less weight and much cheaper than a 454.TrailerDual Axle trailer is in good condition with no structural issues. Aluminum bunks last much longer than wood, all springs and hardware was replaced less than 1yr ago.Extra long tongue for easy launches atshallow ramps without getting your truck wet. No brakes.Fishing boat, dive boat, commercial boat, Dusky, Mako, Grady White, Regal, Sea Ray, Angler, Contender, Whaler.
