I would place this vessel in the very upper segment of theclass.VALUATION:In this case, with a restoration costing many thousands of dollars completed in 2017 to a basevessel with a value as seen in the attached comparable listings, I am of the opinion that thecurrent market value of the subject vessel is $47,500.00.SCOPE:The scope of this appraisal is to determine the current market value of a 1973 CenturyCoronado Hard Top, hull identification number M67354. The opinions submitted arethose of the undersigned only based on market research and a detailed examination of thevessel. My comments and opinions are submitted without prejudice and are subject tochange should additional information become available.VESSEL:The subject of this appraisal is a 1973 Century Coronado Hard Top powered by a 1973Chrysler 440C.I. 330 H.P inboard marine engine. The vessel was inspected while ashorein a winter storage status.CONFIGURATION:The Coronado Hard Top is a standard inboard mid-engine configuration driving a bronzepropeller via a Velvet Drive hydraulic transmission and reverse gear. The vessel has dualhelm seats under a fixed top with sliding side windows and an opening sun roof. The aftcockpit is fitted with a full width rear seat. A teak full width swim platform is affixed tothe transom and is accessed over the stainless steel grab rails which surround the cockpit.PROPULSION:Propulsion is provided by a Chrysler 440 C.I. 330 H.P marine engine, which wasobserved to be in very good condition with no leaks or issues evident. Many new partswere observed. The engine is reported to have undergone a complete rebuild in 2010 andindicates 262 hours of operation on the installed hour meter.THE ENGINE HOURS ARE SLIGHTLY MORE NOW AS THE VESSEL WAS USED IN JULY OF 2019 AFTER THE SURVEY/APPRAISAL WAS PERFORMEDHULL:The fiberglass hull has undergone an extensive restorationwork included complete replacement of the hull longituidinalstringers, portions of the transom and a new deck and supports. The exterior of the hullwas completely refinished in a dark blue epoxy with a blue barrier coat applied to thebottom. The topsides were also completely refinished in white. The sliding windows,chrome windshield frame and hard top sliding windows were found to be in very goodcondition and to operate as intended. All hardware appears to be original to this class andmodel year vessel.RUNNING GEAR:The underwater running gear consists of a stainless steel propeller shaft exiting through astandard bronze stuffing box to a bronze shaft strut and bearing. A bronze 3 bladepropeller is affixed. Steering is via a cable actuated bronze blade style rudder. Allunderwater components were found to be in excellent condition.INTERIOR:The interior of the vessel has been completely restored in a meticulous manner, using originalupholstery materials embossed with the Century logo as originally produced by themanufacturer. The head liner, seats, carpet and motor box and dashboard were all found to be in excellentcondition.
