When these legendary vessels were built, the skill of the sailors & vessel build quality were what sailors relied upon to survive the rigors of the oceans. This vessel was designed by the design team of Cuthbertson & Cassian who won the global SORC sailing championship as well as 11 or 13 other major international sailing races with the legendary vessel Red Jacket. Do a web search for "Red Jacket C & C." There's tons of articles about this legendary design. The C&C395 (aka37R) was a production version of Red Jacket. In 1972 it was the fastest, toughest 39-40 foot cruising yacht in the world. Motor untested but reportedly running when vessel was last sailing a few years ago. Expect some minor work will need to be done replacing things such as batteries, cleaning impellor, or replacing starter or alternator or that sort of things.Vessel is sold in As Is Condition as you see in the photos. None of the electronics or mechanical systems have been tested, but vessel has never had any structural damage and was in decent working order when it was last actively sailed a few years ago. Motor has not been started or run for over two years. Standing rigging, (stainless steel seems very stout and good). Hull and deck appear to be in good sound condition without any significant soft spots or delamination or other issues. As she floats the vessel is a fairly basic sailboat just with the systems installed in past decades, but it does have very nice wheel steering, roller furling, Spinnaker pole
