This restoration is not to show boat level, but she is a very pretty boat.We installed the 2012 Four Stroke Yamaha 70, a motor with only 44 total hours of freshwater use, which I have been saving for just the right boat.Youve heard me talk about the Yamaha 70 four stroke before - I love this motor, offering the best power to weight ratio in class, at close to 100 lbs less than the nearest competition! She will perform beautify with this motor while sipping gas!She has Stainless Steel Prop, all new Morse Controls, Cables, etc - absolutely turn-key boat. The Nauset was produced from 1961-1973 utilizing Boston Whalers 167 hull.Whaler offered over a dozen different boats utilizing this hull and interior layout modifications. Boat molds are very expensive and Ive always said when it comes to hulls, Boston Whaler is the king of re-purposing ! This, by the way is the same boat as the model you see being towed by an old pickup in our logo at the top of our Facebook page and website.The Nauset was a predecessor to the original Montauk, the boat with which most of us are more familiar. The original Montauk arrived on the scene in 1975 with a more modern molded fiberglass center console, reversible pilot seat, etc.This hull itself remained unchanged until mid year 1976 when the new smirked hull arrived, which stayed in the Whaler lineup until 2001, then the all new 170 Montauk was introduced 02.This boat is not for everyone, if left outside exposed to the elements, the wood will age quickly. She really needs to be covered and protected form the elements when not in use. Shes priced @ $23k without trailer, $25k with 2015 galvanized Load Rite.
