I am selling my 1993 Monterey 286 SEL Aft cabin boat.
This boat measures 30' from pulpit to swim platform.
Twin engines - 4.3 Litre V-6 Mercruisers. Great on gas!
One engine was a brand new crate engine in 2012 and the other engine was rebuilt at the same time.
It has 2 Alpha One - Gen II Outdrives mounted on the back and they both work properly.
Recent water pumps just installed in the outdrives for the season, but the boat was not
put in the water this year. So they are still new.
This boat has a 12,000 BTU Central air conditioning system downstairs.
Remote spotlight mounted out on the bow pulpit.
Power windlass with good anchor and chain.
Am/fm/cd player with detachable face mounted downstairs with good speakers in the aft and cockpit areas.
This boat has a bimini top, along with matching side windows and rear canvas piece to enclose the whole boat
and protect it from the rain and sun.
Comes with a Garmin GPS and manuals.
Has a standard brand VHF radio mounted in the dash.
Plenty of seating in the cockpit area with a bench seat across the back that folds down so that you can
access the engine door panels.
Also has a single captains chair and then an L-shaped passenger seat.
It has 3 small steps on the side of the captains chair so that you can easily walk through the windshield and
out to the bow. There is a sunpad out on the bow so you can get some extra sun if you wanted to lay out there.
The downstairs sleeps 6 comfortably.
It has a front v-berth bed that is supposed to sleep 2 and then there are 2 small couches in the aft bedroom
that fold down to sleep 2 more and then the dinette can also fold down and convert to a bed to sleep 2 more.
The galley area has a nice stainless sink, a 2 burner electric or alcohol stove that has only been used a couple of times,
a coffee pot built into the wall and a fridge with a small freezer section in it.
The stand up head has a toilet with macerator, as well as another small sink and a shower wand in case you want to
quickly shower off without having to visit the marina bathroom facilities.
It has dual battery switches mounted in an easy accessdoor in the cockpit area, along with the outlet for the shore power.
There is a rear boarding ladder that folds up and stores under a little panel on the swim platform and there is a nice door to
walk into the boat from the platform, so you do not have to climb over the back of the boat to get in.
The boat is very clean and engines, outdrives, trim tabs, etc. all work great.
We never found any hour meters on the boat, but we do know for a fact that the motors have less than 100 hours on them
since the new one was installed and the other was rebuilt. It was only used a couple of weekends last year and not put in the
water this year, just from lack of time to be able to use it.
Here are some things it is going to need:
The remote spotlight turns on and off but sometimes the switch does not always work to turn it left and right. We tested the switch and know that it is going to need a new switch. The L-shaped passenger seat needs to be repaired, as it does have cracks and splits in the material and was recovered but it does not match the other seat. It is just basic white marine vinyl butdoes not match the other seats. The captains chair and rear bench seat apprear to be in good condition. There is a rear storage compartment on the back of the boat that functions properly but there is a crack in the lid. It still works but I am just trying to point out anything that I know of. I tried to post a pic of this. Also, while it was stored at the marina last winter the props were stolen. The outdrives have locks on them, so luckily they were not touched, but the 2 aluminum props were stolen. I believe I still have 1 stainless prop in the garage that I will try to find, but I know I only have 1 of these.
The boat is currently sitting on boat stands in my driveway. The stands do not go with the boat, as I only borrowed them.
If you have any questions or comments you can email me or you can give me a call on my cell at phone.
Thank you.
