Monterey

1995 Monterey 230 Explorer. With trailer. Two owner boat. A fresh water boat since day one.Originally on Lake Lanier in Ga. We have owned the boat for nearly 3 years and use it on Lake Murray ( Columbia, S.C.). This boat is original and has always been well maintained. It has been either lift or trailer stored. Powered by a 5.7 liter Volvo-Penta (GM Block) 260 hp. The out-drive is a Volvo-Penta Duo-Prop. The props are aluminium. It holds 60 gallons of gasoline. The battery is in it's 3rd. season.Runs well, dry bilge, no oil/fluid/water leaks.The engine has been serviced and winterized each season. Along with Sea-foam additive added to the gas tank.The engine and out-drive work very well. The engine had major work done on it prior to our purchase. I do not have the paper work. I do not know the exact engine hours as there is no hour meter. The guess-timation is around (500).I removed the out-drive two years ago and replaced the exhaust bellow, hoses etc. I rebuilt the hydraulic trim rams. Checked bearings and lubed the gimble. I by passed the original trim switch and added an up/down toggle.The gel-coat is all original, to include the hull, cockpit, combing, and gunnels. There are some minor nicks and scratches here and there, as should be expected. This boat has never been run aground. The out drive has never been damaged, no dings on the skeg. The interior, cockpit, console, controls etc... are in good condition.The seat cushions are original and in very good condition throughout. The Bimini top is older and should be replaced, although there are no rips or stitches coming apart . The cover is in good condition and should be good for another couple of seasons. I removed the old stereo it was not working, so it would need to be replaced. The speakers are all in place.Monterey builds a solid, quality boat and this 24 year old boat is a testament to that.We are selling the boat simply because we have not been using it as it should be, and I do not want it to sit.The trailer: 2002 Wesco aluminum dual torsion axle. 2&5/16th ball. Axle's are 3500lbs. max ea. 7000lbs. max. NEEDS Tires. New lights, disc brakes, needs new lines run. So the brakes are not working.The trailer is over kill for this boat. The boat weighs 4100 lbs. the trailer max cap. is 7000 lbs. It will hold a 25ft. vessel.ID#RGFR0275E495
