Beam-forward design allows for increased entertainment space up top and enhanced room below our Maxum 2700 feels much larger than her 28 foot. Her 2-foot swim platform has nonskid and a 3-step boarding ladder, which makes getting onboard easy whether from the docks or from the water. Stern storage locker for fenders and lines.

The spacious cockpit area has 2 rear-facing bench seat, an aft couch and a cockpit table in front. Port-side wetbar and large lounger for sunbathing and seating. Double-wide, adjustable helm seats, tilt wheel, full instrumentation in the woodgrain dashes including a Hummingbird digital depth sounder, and a flush-mount Danforth compass, windlass control and VHF-radio.

Foredeck is reached via the 2 molded-in steps just to the port of the dash through the walk-through windshield. In the bow is a recessed anchor locker for windlass and chain, covered by a hatch.

The engine hatch has gas springs and the room in the bilge is impressive easy to work in with access to both sides of the 320-hp Mercruiser 6.2 MX MPI engine. In the bilge youll also find double batteries, water, and holding tank.

The cabin is reached through a sliding door 3-steps down. Port-side galley with single burner electrical stove, stainless steel sink with hot and cold water, microwave oven and a dual voltage fridge. Plenty of storage in maple-finished cabinetry. Six-foot-two-inch head room by galley. Theres plenty of light and room in the 2700 4 port lights and the overhead hatch. V-berth in beige leather-like material with an oval table that converts to 2 sleeping berths for overnight accommodation.

The head is to the starboard side and features a vacuflush porcelain head with macerator and holding tank, a vanity with hot and cold water with storage underneath. Mirrored medicine cabinet, grab rail, and a portlight. The vanity faucet doubles as shower handle.

The mid cabin has an upholstered mattress that comfortably sleeps an additional two adults.

Our 2700 is powered by an upgraded 320-hp Mercruiser 6.2 MX MPI V8 and a Bravo III drive with stainless steel propellers will cruise at 25 MPH and top out in the mid 30s. Only 34 hours or less than 5% of her total run time has been over 3,000 RPM, suggesting gentle Intra-Coastal canal use.
