1998 Maxum 3200 SCR
After 10 years of love and ownership, I have decided to sell my boat. We all have heard the adage that the best two days of having a boat is the day you get it and the day you get rid of it. Not the truth here. The day I got it was one of the many great days I have spent on it and the day I sell it will be one of the saddest ones. Truth be told, I dont really want to see it go, but my job took me out of state to a location where having a boat of this size just isnt feasible. In all of these years I have done my best to fix broken things and keep it in great shape. But having said that, she has always been a party boat. Not one that is squeaky clean and the owners wont let you drink red wine on. We used her to her fullest potential.
The two lists below outline what I call the good and bad. I want to be open and honest about everything. I do not intend to hide anything. This way we dont waste each others time. The good list are large things that I have had done over the last 5 years or so. Its not a complete list. The Bad list is things that are currently issues with the boat.
I have a friend who is willing to show the boat that lives nearby but taking the boat out will require me to be present. Bear in mind I live three and a half hours away and have a very unpredictable schedule so I will only be able to accommodate test drives for very serious buyers.

Dock boxes, Refrigerator, table, chairs, Ten person Raft, Bilge Heater, Shop Vac, Grill, and many other accessories included. If you want to take over the slip, that will be fine as well. It will be paid until the end of the month that it is purchased.
The Bad
Westerbeke 4.5BCGA Generator Inoperative. The generator never put out clean power. This resulted in the AC controller being damaged. Troubleshooting revealed that it has bad exciter windings. The last time I started the generator it overheated. Fresh water pump pumped good water so it is most likely a heat exchanger clog or a bad internal cooling pump.
Trailer included (Maybe). Someone stole all the wheels and tires when it was in storage and left it to rust on the ground. Needs work for sure, but it is included. Permanent AZ tags. Currently in talks with the insurance company.
Props that are currently on the outs drives are slightly bent. It drives fine and doesnt have any discernable vibration, but it should be repaired. Extra set of props are bent as well.
Bow Thruster and Windlass Currently both inoperative. The both stopped working at the same time this year. To my knowledge they share the same circuit. I believe that there is an inline fuse that has popped and needs to be replaced. Just cant find it
Ice Maker The door is warped and wont keep the ice entirely cold
Kitchen hot water Inoperative. Pipe is currently capped off. Just needs a new connector. All other hot water works well.
Engines are hard to start If it has sat for more than 2 weeks. It is going to need starting fluid. Carb tune up would likely help
Starboard engine heat exchanger overflow nipple is broken off. A good radiator repair shop could solder it back on.
Compass Leaks probably need a new one
Depth Gauge Not installed. Long story short, it was removed to repair a leaking through hull.
Outside sink faucet The head of the faucet came off and just needs to be reconnected. Its not hard to do.
Door Lock Doesnt work, never has.
Battery Charger The main battery charger is broken. I have a standalone unit in there now, that is plugged in with an extension cord.
Bottom Paint Needs to be redone
Boat cover Works fine, but could use some work.
General Condition The boat is well used and 25 years old. It has scratches, Dents and Dings. Much of the downstairs ceiling is stained from water ingress. The carpet downstairs is stained and the hardwood floor needs to be refinished. Some areas of Formica in the kitchen area is loose or damaged. Some latches dont open properly or have the plating missing (New set of latches included).
Nav Lights They are currently disassembled but I have the parts to make them legal.
