Up for sale is my 2002 MasterCraft X-Star. It has just under 300 hours. This boat is great shape, I've never had it in the water for longer than a day and it is kept out of the sun under a roof and cover. This boat is a rare reverse-gel boat, where the bottom is yellow and the decks are white. This boat was used in the first X-Games and throws atournament sized wake. It is an incredible hull for wakeboarding, but is still small and light enough to pull a skier with the ballast drained. This hull wasoriginallythe MasterCraft Pro-Star 205 hull, then the 205v (v for v-drive), then the X-Star, then the X-1, then the X-2. It was used for so long because it one of the few hulls that can throw massive wakeboarding wakes but still a decently flat ski wake. A true crossover.Condition:The boatreceiveda brand-new interior and carpet from Viper Customs in July of this year. The new interior uses the textured vinyl found on new MasterCrafts and has all the factory embroidery. It is one of the best looking interiors I've ever seen. Over the winter the entire ignition system was replaced, including the spark plugs, wires, coils and ignition module. The boat also has a new impeller, fresh oil, a new drive belt and tensioner and recent transmission fluid. The 330 hp 5.7 liter Indmar engine runs perfectly, with plenty of power to pull skiers orwake boarders. The prop was refinished in 2014 and is still in good shape. In 2013 the boat's steering cable was replaced, a common wear item. The teak platform is in excellent condition, I refinished it 4 years ago and with a little teak oil every season it has held up great.Factory Options:From the factory, this boat was equipped with almost everyavailableoption. It has Perfect Pass speed control, integrated ballast, a wakeboard tower, a cockpit heater, a depth finder and abilgepump. The heater is a nice feature for those cold mornings. Two years ago I purchased a custom fit Sunbrella canvas cover for the boat which is installed every time it is put away. I upgraded the factory Perfect Pass to the newer model, I think it is the WAKEBOARD PRO. It allows for custom user profiles and RPM or Paddle wheel speed control, with the option to add GPS control. Speed control is a must with any ski or wakeboard boat and this system is superintuitiveand works great. The boat has the Zero Flex Flyer 2 tower which has integrated wakeboardracks. The swim platform is removable and the trailertongue and towerfold to allow the boat to fit into a single car garage.Audio:This boat has an upgraded stereo system, utilizing the some of the componentsavailable. The 2 tower speakers are Wet Sounds Rev 8s ($1100). The 4 in-boat speakers are Wet Sounds XS-650s ($500) and the sub is a XS-10 ($250). the speakers are driven by a Clarion marine head unit with USB input and Sirius XMcapabilityand Wet Sounds WS-420 equalizer. The WS-420 allows the driver to use a microphone to speak through the tower speakers only to a skier while underway. Two Alpine marine amps power the stereo (over $1200), which were chosen for their lower power consumption and great sound. This isundoubtedlyone of the loudest boats on the lake. Do not be fooled by regular wakeboarding tower speakers that utilize a common component speaker. Only a speaker specifically designed for long-distance sound (Wet Sounds) will project enough to be heard at the end of the ski rope.Ballast:The two factory hard tanks were removed from the rear lockers to allow for two 700 lb Fat Sacs. Similarly the center ski locker tank was removed for a 300 lb Fat Sac. An integrated bow sac was added for an additional 300lb in the bow. This ballast is powered by 4 integrated Jabsco ballast pumps with switches in the arm-rest. This makes it super easy to fill and drain ballast. Some ski boats with Fat Sacs require external pumps and hoses to fill and drain which wastes ski time. One of the motivations for removing the factory hard tanks was to increase the storage in the rear ski lockers. With the ballast drained, the lockers can easily fit a few wakeboards. The factory hard tanks are included if a buyer wanted to revert to the stock setup. The entire ballast system was plumbed using factory Fat Sac quick connect fittings, allowing the sacs to be easily removed for cleaning or storage. I have never filled the ballast more than ~30% in this boat for wakeboarding because the wake is massive, but I have filled one side 100% to create a wakesurf wake. You can surf behind this boat, but it cannot compete with the newer 24 foot dedicated surf boats MasterCraft offers.Trailer:The boat rides on a factory MasterCraft trailer. This year the trailerreceivednew tires and complete wheel bearing assemblies. It also has Led tail lights and reversing lights. The fiberglass fenders are in good shape. There are some spots of surface rust on the trailer, but it is not in bad shape. It tows wonderfully. I also have a brand new set of rubber pads for the trailer that have not been fitted, as I was considering having the trailer painted. Please feel free to contact me with any questions or to schedule a time to come look at the boat. Test drives/pulls can be arranged for serious buyers.I have another 60 pictures, I can email them to any bidders.
