MASTERCRAFT has long been know as the manufacturer of professional high-performance luxury waterski boats and made famous as the "World Record Tow Boat" for being used in professional competition for so many years. The Maristar model has always been their largest (23 feet long, 98" beam) model and most luxurious. It was designed to be a big lake boat rather than a small water-ski boat with a deeper V and smoother ride. Many have called it a floating party barge :-) It has comfortable seating for 12, an impressive cockpit, wood grain dash, all the gauges, Morse Shifter & Cables, circuit breakers (not fuses), locking glove compartment, two (2) cigarette lighter jacks for plugging in phone chargers or accessories, cooler under one of the seats (with drain out), built in cup holders, water-ski storage in the floor (with drain out), large sunbed for laying out, power lifting sunbed, and tons of storage. Mastercraft uses no wood in their construction of the interior and because of that, there is no rot or damage as there would be of similar boats manufactured in 2000.The equilivent of this boat today would be a 2016 Mastercraft V30 which has the exact dimeisions and floor plan. The biggest different? The price. A new one goes for $118,000.This is a very well cared for 2000 Mastercraft Maristar 230 VRS with a Northstar Electronic Fuel Injected Indmar 350 (330 HP) Engine. It has very low hours and has been properly and pro-actively maintained. It sat for many years in a heated garage and was not used at all until I purchased it 5 years ago with less than 60 hrs on it. Not that it needed it and before I ever used it, I dumped the gas, replaced the fuel pump, and had all the injectors taken out cleaned and pressure tested after I purchased it. I winterize it each year and store it in a helicopter hanger heated to 55 degrees each winter. She runs like a top and absolutely nothing wrong with her other than she could use a little interior/exterior cleaning/detailing. It has the original bottom paint in excellent condition and has never been painted. When I was power washing the exterior, I accidentally blew off one of the plastic letters that said "MARISTAR" on the side, so I just continued going and fully removed all the MARISTAR lettering on each side. You can buy them on classifieds board at this link for $69.99 if you wish to replace them:One of the advantages of purchasing a high end used boat like Mastercraft is that you can still find any part you need on classifieds board or from your local dealer. It comes with a MASTERCRAFT tandem axle aluminum sport wheeled trailer manufactured specifically for the Maristar 230 VRS and has a cage built along the bottom to protect your propeller and ensure that you will never bump, scratch or drag the prop when loading, unloading, or trailering. She has large PVC poles designed to guide you into the trailer and I split them from black to white so that I know exactly how far to put the trailer into the water.I added the Aerial FREERIDE polished aluminum Wakeboard Tower ($1,900) meant for pulling water-skiers and wake-boarders from the top of the tower so that they get maximum height when jumping wakes and are pulled from the air rather than the rear of the boat reducing drag and making it more comfortable for the skier as they don't feel like they are being pulled down into the water. I added two (2) Freeride Tower Wakeboard Racks ($250) that will hold up to four (4) wakeboards or skis. I also added the Freeride Bimini Sunbrella Black Top for $650. The Freeride tower sports a US Coast Guard approved white LED Nav light at the top. This tower was over $3,000 installed not counting the speakers and wiring. The installation of the tower meant that the stock factory cover no longer fit so I had a custom sunbrella cover made to fit the boat and tower which cost me $1,800.I also added a killer sound system with 4 Tower Speakers (pretty sure they are 150 watt each Rockford Fosgate FZRs with illumination and they light up at night) which are powered by a JL Audio M600/6 (Marine 600 Watt, 6 Channel) Amplifier. I replaced the stock four 8" round speakers with Marine Rockford Fosgate 8" 282s and added a custom made, custom fitted, fully enclosed sub-woofer box houses twin Rockford Fosgate 10" subs with a separate mono 200 watt amp. The head unit is a double din Clarion waterproof DVD player with 1" video screen and IPod connector. There is a remote stereo controller to change the station and adjust the volume built in to the beam next to the swim platform in case you are swimming and wish to change the station. Waterskiers can easily here the music if you so wish and there is at least $3,000 into the sound system including installation. The 2 foot removable teak swim platform makes for easy on and off access and with the V-Drive Propeller, hidden under the boat in order to make it more maneuverable when towing a skier, makes this one of the safest boats for swimming and diving behind in the water as there is zero threat of being injured by the prop.As you can see, I put a lot of money was put into this boat recently with the additional of the tower(3K), sound system(3K), & custom cover ($1,800). You could out fit a brand new one like this for $90,000 or pick up this one for a fraction of the cost.EMAIL ME FOR ADDITIONAL PHOTOSif you google Aerial Freeride Wakeboard Tower you can find specs on the tower and googling waterskimag and 2001 maristar and you can find a modern time write up on the boat.Maristar Specs:Length 22 ft. 8 in.Beam: 98 in.Fuel capacity: 61 gal.Seating capacity: 12Test prop: 14 in.
