I'm reluctantly offering for sale my 1978 MC "Canadian National Edition" ski boat. The boat was purchased in Auburndale, FL in 1983 from the original owner. Back in the late 80's, my former mechanic who used to work at the MC factory in Maryville, Tenn, told me that they made a few of these green metal flake with Maple Leaf boats for the Canadian National Ski team. They liked them so much, they made a few more for retail. He thought this was the last one still in circulation at the time so it is truly one of a kind. This boat has either been on a covered lift or in my garage it's whole life and, as you can see from the pics, it is in very good, original condition. Freshwater only! There are 1037 hours on the original Ford 351 ("Cleveland") Escort Marine Engine with a Holly 4 barrel marine carb. However, engine had to be completely rebuilt gratis by Sammy Duval's Master craft in Orlando when it had about 700 hrs. on it due to a mechanic's negligence. Runs very strong! However, engine had to be completely rebuilt gratis by Sammy Duval's Master craft in Orlando when it had about 700 hrs. on it due to a mechanic's negligence. Runs very strong! The original wood stringers were replaced about seven years ago and reinforced with aluminum to prevent future wood rot. There are no soft spots in the fiberglass that I can detect. The carpet is original and in overall good shape with no tears. The plywood floor behind the engine cover will likely need to be replaced at some point as there is a small soft spot. The seats were reupholstered about the same time as the stringers and is in excellent shape. I installed the bimini and it is like new. Amajor service was done at the end of last year and there are no mechanical issues. As you can see, the trailer is also original and could stand a rehab (wheels have surface rust, bunkers need new carpet and the fiberglass is cracked/broken in several places) though it still works fine. All the lights work. I have the original owner's manual and all the service records. Kids are out of the house and we just don't use it much anymore. Please message me with any questions or if you would like additional pics. Thanks for looking!
