This is a no reserve auction fora 1989 Marlin 16 bowrider with a 3.0 liter 140 hp MercruiserI/O and including trailer.The trailer shownISincluded in the sale.We are listing this boat and representing it in completelyas-isconditionwith noreserve. Please read the ad and view the pictures carefully as this boat will be sold to whoeverhas the high bid at auctions end.We have included83 large pictures below the adto show you as much detailas possible as well as a description of condition. Our description of conditionis based on a brief and casual inspection and is only to help you decide its value. You are welcome to inspect the boat in person if you wish to do so. It is located inOld Saybrook, Ct, 06475 and is available anytime by appointment.

This boat will need some work. We hooked up a battery to see what worked and found that it will need a starter motor. The engine spins fine by hand and the oil is clean but the starter only clicks when key is turned. The engine looks fairly clean and un-tampered with otherwise. The outdrive shifts in and out of gear well as well as trims up and down with no problems. The bellows and shift cable boots look in great shape. The fuel tank in this boat is a plastic model so you will never need to worry about that. There is a battery included but may need a charge or replacement. The gauges, bilge blower and bilge pump work butsome of the switches on the dash are broken. The stereo does not power up as well. There will be some needed work to get her ready for the water. Please feel free to inspect in person if interested.

Cosmetically it looks good and has never been bottom painted. The deck areais soft over the ski locker as well as the fuel tank. The sides of deck are rock solid. The upholstery is not terribly sun-faded but does have some rips and tares. The stern seat bases are badly rotted as well as some other less severe areas on helm seats. Plan on doing some plywood work if you want to really fix her up . The carpet is in decent shape and the gel coat looks good. It would benefit from a buff and wax job and would probably shine up well. Please view all 83 large pictures below ad.

We havea state ofRhode Island registration certicicate for the the boat and trailerready to transfer ownership.
