All Aluminum Marinette For Restoration. Beautiful, Everlasting I bought this boat specifically to do a total restoration on. I was going to install a new turbo diesel and completely redo all of the interior. I have always really loved aluminum boats, and this one in particular has enough room to actually live aboard or at least weekend. My original intention was to go down the Kentucky and all the way to the Mississippi river and down the Mississippi. This boat is sturdy and big enough to handle Big waves and rough water. The aluminum hall is known for it ruggedness and strength. I have always loved aluminum boats, and this was going to be my dream boat. I hope someone buys it that will appreciate its beauty and is capable of doing a good restoration. For me personally, I would not go as far as painting the exterior, but I would do the interior in top form. You can also simply install a regular Chevrolet or GM 350 which is what it had in it before and that would be a much more affordable restoration. Aluminum boats are lighter than fiberglass and they are everlasting. The fact that they are lighter, makes them float higher and they are faster.
