DescriptionThe Marine Trader Sedan is one of the rarer of the Marine Trader models. It has a bridge in the main cabin and a setup for a second bridge on the upper deck. Layout is a spacious single forward stateroom, large main cabin, and bridge. Unfortunately, it was allowed to deteriorate during his declining health, and I'm selling it on behalf of his widow after his recent passing.Although I have tried to be as thorough as possible in detailing the inventory, condition, and any known issues, bidders should view boat and ascertain condition themselves or through a qualified marine surveyor. I will not move the boat for a survey nor allow it to be taken out for sea trials. Boat is sold as-is, where-is, with no warranties of any kind, implied or implicit. Boat may be viewed by contacting me directly. I will be glad to answer any/all questions to the best of my ability. The bottom has been kept clean and zincs replaced every six months. Vessel would make an excellent liveaboard for someone with appropriate skills. It has an excellent layout, is light, airy, and spacious, and only has one known leak in the forward stateroom.AuctionWinning bidder must provide funding and sign necessary transfer of ownership paperwork, including a USCG Bill of Sale form, and take possession of Boat within five days. Neighborhood rules prevent boat from remaining in its present slip beyond that time. Legend Point marina is only a couple hundred yards across the Jarboe channel and slips are reasonable. Owner's Boat US insurance will cover moving boat to a nearby repair facility, if desired.Boat Name,Easy,USCG registered #667965 Boat comes with all documentation, including original blueprints and wiring diagrams. - Boat was purchased by current owners in 1984 and used extensively for cruising until 2011, at which point it was docked in Newbern, NC and survived Hurricane Irene in 2011 with minor damage. Boat was then transported overland back to its home port in Clear Lake Shores, TX. Transport company cut off the bridge's bulwark to reduce height and temporarily refastened it after arrival in Texas (see pictures). Railing, stanchions, bimini, controls, and instrumentation were never reinstalled. We believe all bridge hardware listed above is present. Boat was moved only locally after that for haulout, bottom job, repair of leak in hull at keel area (leaks slowly and intermittently again directly behind bilge pump), and steering chain replacement.
- Although motor turns over, the fuel boost pump is not functioning, the shutoff cable has been disconnected, and the 4D currently installed is a house battery, not a starting battery. The motor ran fine 5-6 years ago, no known issues other than oil dipstick is missing (oil present, looks good, no water)
- Only interior leak apparent is in the forward cabin on port side by bed.
- Deck coating is peeling up in most places. Boat needs wood and fiberglass work, especially at bridge join and rub rails.
- Bulwark on the port side by the stern is wobbly, probably due to the damage on the lower rubrail and some rot.
- Boat wiring has been added to and subtracted from over many years.
- Aft hatches (where plywood hatch is pictured) were teak with stainless frames. Both frames and one teak hatch come with boat. Other hatch was not found.
- Bowsprit is not original. Am assuming it was damaged in Irene and appears to have been replaced with lumber, not teak or mahogany.
