1963 25' Lyman Sleeper--- Ok, I will list this one more time in case anyone was considering picking her up. My prior 'Best Offer' reserve price was $2000, so I'm listing this with no reserve with the begining bid of $2k. If she doesn't go this time around I plan to strip the boat, part out, sell the trailer seperatley and set the hull ablaze. Gotta do something with it.I purchased this Lyman about two years ago with plans to restore her to good user (not show) condition. I also have a Cruisette that needs work, and it's becoming clear to me that I'm just not going to have time to get to this Sleeper. Good intentions, but an overreach on my part. I've not touched her other than removing the windshield for transport...which is in the cabin. The boat needs bottom and transom work along with general cosmetics. Most of the wood is quite good, and she's been stored indoors. She also sits on an older tandem trailer that is included. This is an easy restoration for someone who's worked on boats before. A little tougher if this is your first time. The engine is fine but obvoiusly needs a carb clean and general tune-up. The larger Lymans are really gaining in popularity due to their dryness and smooth ride in rough waters. Their lapstrake construction is the best amongst all the lapstrake builders in my opinion.
Anyway, I'm letting her go pretty cheap in hopes someone will save her. Make me a reasonable offer and she's yours...otherwise it's unfortunately curtians for her. I will store her in my building for 30 days. $500 Paypal deposit due with successful bid, balance due within 7 days. I have good feedback, so she's as I describe. Good luck and thanks for checking this out.
