1950 Lyman lapstrake classic wooden Runabout boat. This boat measures 133 long and 52 acrossthe transom. This boat needs fullrestoration. We have been wanting to doit and finally recognized that if we dont let it go, the boat will have to becut up. That would be a terrible shame.
This boat has never been cut down or significantly modified. It is a Runabout and was manufactured with centerdeck steering. Someone at one time mountedthe steering wheel in the front.
Some of the auxiliary wood will need to be replaced. There are ribs that need to be replaced. We believethe side planks and the front deck are still good. To the best of our knowledge, the hardware isoriginal. The oar locks are verycool. As per the transom plate, thisboat is rated at 25 hp max.
The trailer is a very sweet period correct trailer. It is worth restoring this trailer aswell. The tires will have to be replacedbefore it goes down the road. Bearings as well.
Please look at my other listings. I have a restored Penn Yan listed and will soon list a 1953 Chris Craft Holiday 18'. The Chris Craft needs restoration but has been kept inside and has no rot.
