Classic1957 Lyman 23 Runabout which has been restored, and has many upgrades.And she has beenin FRESH WATER her entire life. Powered with a Chrysler Crown flathead straight-6 inboard engine. This Lyman 23is one of the most popular designs with her tumblehome transom, sweet shear, mahogany openingwindshields, and comfortable seating. The boat was restored with a new laminated stem, new transom, new decks, and new canvas. The engine &downdraft carbsand fuel tank were restored in Aug 2013by a fine machine shop. A new marine thru hull seacockis installed, new Sears group 27 battery added in Aug 2013, and she is equipped with a Garmin GPS plotter, and a Garmin 100fishfinder/depth sounder. A Lyman swim ladder with transom brackets is included. This classic Lyman 23 comes with a 2002 galvanized Venture tandem, bunk trailer. Also included are two full boat covers with oakbows across the cockpit.
Varnish is very nice overall. Decks, transom and interior brightwork is quite nice. (The dashboard has severalsmall runsin the varnish, and could use a light sanding and top coat.) The mediumblue hull paint was repaintedlast Winter with Interlux medium blue Brightsides.. The two small side windows in the windshieldwere replaced with newsafety glass in 2014.Two new stainless vertical trim stripswere fittedwhere the aft hull meets the transom. New bottom paint applied in January 2014. Newwhite boot stripe also added in Winter of 2014. The stem was replaced with a laminated section. This classic Lyman is be ready to go and show.

New steam bent/laminated stem perfect rabbet cut, new solid Honduras mahogany 5/4" transom. Much new Douglas fir plywood planking, some frames of steambent white oak. All bilge wood marinated with gallons of copper-naphthenate wood preservative. One 2007 coat of Sand Tan factory bilge paint for better appearance in bilge. All underwater laps pried slightly apart and laid in bead of 3M caulking. Several thousand silicon-bronze screws replaced and laps reclenched. Because plywood plies are swollen up with wood preservative, they do not require "soaking up". All new mahogany plywood decks and windshield.New Nautolex sole. New stem-to-stern oak gunwale. New ignition parts.
