For sale is a 1967 Lyman 19' Inboard Runabout with hull no. 1101. My understanding is that the engine is a 165 HP Eaton Marine unit (I'm told it's a Ford 289 V8) with a Velvet drive. I believe it is in good structural condition and I also believe the engine will run if a qualified Ford V8 engine mechanic has a shot at it. However, I do not have sufficient knowledge to guarantee either condition. You will have to make you own assessment. The last time I had a chance to turn it over is about 2 years ago. At that time, I purchased a new battery, replaced the plugs, changed the oil and then ran out of time before taking on an international work assignment. I had a local mechanic lined up but had to cancel. I will be checking it a bit tomorrow to be sure it still rotates, but I wanted to get this add up and running so that any interested party would be aware it is for sale. My guess is a 1967 engine is probably a candidate for a rebuild to ensure reliability and that was my plan. I purchased the boat from the original owning family that placed the order in March of 1967 and had it delivered from Sandusky, Ohio to Missouri. It was subsequently moved by the same family to Florida. It has been in Florida for quite a number of years from what I can gather. It comes with what was apparently the original twin axle trailer. It looks to be structurally sound. The lights are not working and tires and bearings will need to be checked by anyone planning to tow the boat using this trailer. I think it may be a tongue heavy trailer, but was told it was used to haul the boat from MO to FL with a station wagon, so it can't be too, too bad. I had it brought to me on a ramp truck. You may want to do the same. It comes with the original mooring cover and a secondary cover. The original cover is now mighty tight.Because of my age, my wife is insisting I sell it and get one already running. She wants to be on the water sooner that I believe I can get this one ready. The buyer will be provided only a bill of sale and any of the original documents I was given. Local pickup only, and the boat and trailer must be picked up and removed from my property within 7 days of purchase. As a 19' inboard, I hate to let it go. They don't come up very often. My loss and hopefully your win.
