Here for your consideration is a real piece of American boating history. LoneStar boats were built in Great Plains, TX. after WW II by a company who had manufactured aircraft for the military until the end of the war. They had all this fabrication equipment & surplus aluminum material so it was natural to put the material & equipment to use in boats to keep the company afloat. This boat is pretty much unsinkable...a person could swamp it but with the amount of flotation built into the 4" walls of the boat & under the well built floor I don't think it would sink...that was 1 of their advertising points. This boat has an enormous amount of storage under the front cabin & especially the bow area. The boat has pretty new carpet in it & an absolutely new custom interior upholstery by Tony Jenniges. The cabin area has bench seating for 6 people & when you add the extra middle section support it will sleep 2 easily or 3 if you're not shy. The boat also has a really decent Imron paint job which I have been told that this paint was engineered specifically for Aluminum because of the expansion & contraction the Aluminum experiences during extreme temperature changes. For electronics the boat comes with a new Garmin Echo 100 Fish/Depth finder 100W (RMS) transmit power....600' depth range that will cover anything in this state. It also comes with a new JVC Am-Fm CD & MP3 Player with a removable face & Tri-Axial speakers. The boat's main motor is a 1958 Mercury 78 Super Marathon, their " Tower of Power" 6 cylinder motor. There will be 2 props included..2 & 3 blades. Unfortunately the motor needs some TLC as it started making some strange mechanical noises under power. I thought it might have been the lower unit which I replaced with a rebuilt original unit but that didn't eliminate the noise which now I believe is in the powerhead. The kicker motor is a 1980's 4hp Mercury. The boat is on a 1955 RoadMaster Tandem axle trailer that features new tires & white spoke wheels, a new trailer winch, totally rewired with new taillights & standard 4 prong harness assembly. It also features a super heavy duty set of bow safety chains & hitch safety chains, standard 2" hitch ball. Clear title for both the boat & trailer. I am only the second party to own this boat since 1955. The boat has always been stored indoors between Oct, & April & under a carport between May & Sept. I don't need any tire kickers or looky loos. You can go to youtube & enter in Pactola Lone Star to see 3 videos of the boat on the water. If you are serious about considering this for purchase you can email, phone or text me.605-8five8-4two93 The boat is in Rapid City, SD & will have to be picked up in person. If that is not possible the winning bidder is responsible for arranging for shipping costs & insurance on the shipment...no exceptions ! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zCCrNdsWWuo
