Laser STV

Laser STV 16' Race Boat. J-Production Comp hull, Open Stringer cockpit. Padded V hull.

This race boat won a well known racer 11 APBA J-production classes in 1986, two National Championships and two National High Points titles. This padded hull won many races in 1984, 1985 and 1986.

The race photo is of the original race boat owner wearing an open face Bell and Gentex at the OPC Kankakee Nationals in 1986. I have that 1986 photo. I'm guessing this rig would be good for CRA type events. search: classic race boat association

Original gel coat surface and decals are in good condition. Several SS Mazco race props as pictured and additional props are included. Original Jack-Plate.

This race boat needs a new steering system. It currently has a dual cable teleflex system but both worn cables are removed. I saved the cable for a correct match. Race boat has chips, dings, cracks, minor patches, and crazing that would be expected for a boat this age. The two seats are not original. There were two lightweight bucket seats.

I recommend that this race boat be left mostly original but restored to original racing trim condition, i.e. remove carpet, two seats and replace with correct STV Laser race boat seat.

Has good trailer.

Boat located near Grove Key Marina. Local pick up best. use trailer hitch. - if shipped then new owner responsible for shipping cost. Boat sold as is.
