Description:
- PROS
- This boat has been very good to my family and we moved it from Kentucky to Washington in October.
- Has a brand new axle on the trailer $1100 with only about 100 miles on
- New water pump on the Chevy 305 $273
- New water pump in the lower end replaced the other day
- New harness for the trailer lights
- Fast Fast and yes FAST!!!! This boat does about 70 on the water and is great for water ski, wake boarding and tubing.
- Has a brand new hood built last year.
- Cd Player (detachable face) and marine speakers. To be honest I only used it once last summer because we did alot of wakeboarding and was a waste to try and use the radio because it was so loud.
- I have been told by an engine guy that this would be an easy fix with either jb weld butpreferably pulled out and to back step weld it. I was going to try the jb weld thing and have seen multiple youtube videos on how to do it. I will place them in here so you have an idea on how it is done. I just do not have the time or energy at the moment.
- The paperwork states its a 1971 JONS CARL SPEED BOAT (yes I know so dont even try to look for it online this is just what the TN bill of sale states)
- CONS
- After replacing the water pumps I realized that when the trailer broke and sat all winter in Oregon waiting on the axle guy the boat was never winterized
- The boat runs but has a 2" crack in the block. There is no water in the oil and still start right up. I think the risers are gunked up.
- The other CON is that I am actually selling it but need to get rid of it because I recently had surgery and need the money. I do not have the time nor the strength to work on it at the moment.
- Could use a new trim motor which is 49 dollars on Amazon
- This boat is priced to sell and need it gone.
- This boat is local pickup and will not deliver.
- This boat is priced to sell and I am taking a loss just selling it instead of fixing it.
- I have had this boat a little over a year and between what I have in the parts and the cost I am taking a 2400 dollar loss.
- There is is no title for the boat because of its year. There is a TN State Bill of Sale. In TN There is no registration used for trailers but the bill of sale states that it comes with the trailer.
