Homemade Runabout

Eight foot long x 46" wide homemade racing runabout. Some essobee stole

the motor, so the boat is for sale. Spring is here so act now for a fun

Summer.Made of marine plywood with a thin fiberglass cloth/polyester resin

overcoat. Less than 100 pounds as is. Slight vee bottom for great stability..Only 5% slower than an unwieldy flat bottom. Have never had a flip

in it. Lots of fun. Two can ride depending on size and weight. My wife, kids and grand kids loved it!Comes with vintage Wilcox - Crittison steering wheel similar to photo but red, cable, pulleys and attachments,

and a dead-man racing hand throttle (pic of similar) with cable. These

two items go for about $200 - 300, when you can find them.The bottom has some temp leak fixes and needs some work to cure minor leak along the keel. Would do it but at 87 I don't have the HP.The boat is very strong - built with marine glue and brass screws. Through 2016 I jumped towboat wakes up to 4 feet high. Only gave it up due to my age. Was running a Merc 200 rat motor on it. A light motor is better. I have parts to build a Merc rat motor

black. That might come off with a pressure washer or sander.I have a custom-fit pipe trailer frame that just needs wheels and hitch to trail. Harbor Freight? Can be carried in a pickup or SUV.

And, the registration/tag is good until August, 2019. Included. Would drive up to 50 miles to meet you. Someone asked what motor comes with it - I repeat, NO MOTOR.
