Hatteras Yachtfish

This boat is located near Cape May, New Jersey. It is NOT in navigable condition, but is very rebuildable. It was submerged for three days in the Delaware River near the C and D Canal in the summer of 2018. Some unavoidable fiberglass damage was sustained during recovery, but the hull is very solid, as Hatteras from this time frame were VERY solid. The diesels were professionally drained, run, and pickled within 24 hours of salvage. The interior will need full restoration. Port prop and shaft is damaged, port stabilizer is also damaged. The boat had just undergone $100,000 plus restoration prior to sinking. Some of that value remains in the hull in the form of ALL new fiberglass windows by Lookout Boat Window Frames, LLC, brand new rim drive bow thruster by Vetus, all new brass thru-hull fittings, rebuilt rudders, etc. We would rebuild this boat if we lived closer to it. This is a great opportunity for a craftsman willing to take on a very doable project, by using his/her sweat equity to own a beautiful, very stately, classic yacht. But, do not take on this project on a whim. I have other pictures and videos of the boat taken days prior to the sinking if you want to see her potential (she was gorgeous!).
