The boat was purchased from an elderly genteman in Cape Coral who was loosing his house, The vessel was seldom used to his dismay as the severe tides in that area dictate your every move. He showed me documentation for his purchase in 1991 for 71 k.Documents in hand !I had the bottom cleaned proffesionally and had two new large D batteries installed and she started with no issues. Having had large sailboats and other boats for 30 years , I put her on The Hard at Charlotte Harbor Boat Storage off Gasparilla Rd and Appleton and the work began.I have included a time line of pics from start to where she is now loacated and at a dock on Mid Longboat Key Fl in Sarasota Florida, Great spot and rent is cheap with electric with inderground parking and a convenient store 2 minutes away, Buyer has the option to stay at the current rate of $ 450.00 per month which includes power and water.I put my heart and soul into this boat and as a contractor and an avid owner of large boats I have the knowledge and so do all my workers that helped thru the years.Unfortunately thru year two on the hard my 31 year old wife suffered a massive brain anuerism and work came to a halt as our daughter was only two and a half . That was May 31 2011. After her release and being homebound we hit the boat hard to get it launched. Our plan was to do anything bottom , hull and running gear related while she was at a great work on your own boat facilty.Below is the list of things that were accomplished prior to launching sometime Fall of 2013.Removed any and all obtrusive old and dated hardware and cleaned out vessel.Sanded entire hull including much of the topdeck and painted the hull with a new Marine product much like Awl Grip but much easier application and it came out great as a self leveling product.Sanded the entire bottom and running gear and used approx 5 gallons of Petit Pro 70 % copper black bottom paint, Applied primer to all running gear and placed new zincs on shafts and trim tabsRemoved old wooden railings in the back.Purchased a huge tower and had it structurally designed off of my template to bolt into all the structural parts if the boat and installed it myself after primer and painting the entire thing and having new canvas installed prior to the installation.Changed all fluids and installed all ne primary and secondary fuel filters and filled up the vessesl with marine fuel delivered to marina. The boat was half full so hoped that the new would mix and be fine.We launched the vessel and all was smooth for 3 hours at a cruising speed of 25 plus knots until we hit a crab trap on the starboard side an hour away from our dock at Marina Jack downtown Sarasota. It shuddered the rest of the trip so when in port we had a diver access the problem. The trap had loosened the strut so we had her pulled at Sarasota Yacht Center and thru General Propellar I had them install all new couplers, shafts , cutlass bearings and redoo the props while it was out. This is not a work on your own boat yard so I paid in excess of 3 k for the work and 3 k to GP for the running gear ! OUCH !I then tackled the wiring the boat with Bose speakers inside , speakers on top of the tower and in the cockpit area, Installed really cool flashing light with their own controls and LED's underwater back and side , Installed new GPS and ship to shore with Cd player at the helm.I had a proffesional tower builder come out and install all new aluminum rails with swinging doors and a ladder to the top deck to access the tower. He also created aluminum boxes to fit under the new 350.00 each helmsmans chairs that swivel and slide. We then started tiling the interior heads and galley with a high end glass tile .We made it a point to always run the systems / engines while were were working as standard practice. One day the starboard sufffered fuel loss ? Had many people diagnose and try to remedy but a marine rate of 95 $ per hour is a killer. The engine turns over fine but the last two mechanics believe its injector issues and he left the , what I think is the turbo off ? If you have the knowledge it will run as both engines only have 1200 hours each.If not 10 hours at a mechanics rate and your ready. The boat motors fine from place to place on the port so there is no issue taking on a long voyage if your home is up or down the coast from Sarasota. The interior needs to be completed , the carpeting we kept for a template, the boat has A/C and pumped water thru the system when we last tried , The generator did start but unsure as to if it produces electric. We removed the porti pottties and were going to install a 35 gallon grey water tank. The boat is great and I have done all the hard parts , the expensive work. It just needs someone with time . My wife is now disabled and I cant keep paying dock fees and having bottom cleaned regularly . Bottom cleaned porfessionallly by same diver on 6 30 15 so ready to roll to new home. Dock rent is paid until the end of July !!!! I have left all the chemicals , paints , tiles , thin set that you will need to finish the project. Ther is no way I can put the boats pictures in order so please see it what is for a real yacht that needs the last bit completed.
