Up for auction we have this generously donated 1963 Hatteras 41' Twin Cabin
"Duchess of Albany"
You know the name and quality associated with the Hatteras, and here is the chance to own a piece of yesterday for a great price..this will be selling at NO RESERVE!!
This old timer has clearly seen better days, it was a liveaboard for an older gentleman and is in need of a good cleaning
The hull is Fiber reinforced Plastic, and in VG condition
The interior is solid but dated
Twin cabins, dinette, frig, stove, microwave, it has everything you need to make a nice liveaboard!!
Do not expect the electronics to be functional. they are old and have not been used in a long time
All of the pictures are recent, and they tell an accurate story of this vessel...
A recent survey was done, and is in the listing. If you cannot read it on your mobile device, try using a computer. If you still can't read it, ask for a copy, and I will gladly email one to you
Powered by twin Gas Chrysler 440 engines. Our mechanic looked them over, did not have enough power to get them started but says:
"The Hatteras starboard will roll over but not fast enough to start nor get a compression reading.
The port engine will not roll over either.
Engine oils in both were clean water free and brown with use, no smell of burned oil.
But I believe that both engines are serviceable as both have newer manifolds, risers and exhaust hoses, and have newer Napa fuel and oil filters on the engine.
Just not enough battery power to get them to turn over
They are not seized"
The survey report grades this as "fair" due to the age and overall need of some TLC, but almost everything grades out as "serviceable"
You are not buying a mint condition vessel, you are bidding on an older Hatteras, which may have some unknown issues. We are giving you all of the info that we have. If our description is erroneous, you will get a full refund
This will be sold with a clear FL title
It is in a secured marina in Fort Pierce Fl and is NOT available for viewing per the marina.
This marina will allow it to stay where it is, and can be used for liveaboard purposes. It is currently $500/month
Please ask all of your questions PRIOR to bidding
