1974 Hatteras 31 Sport Cruiser (not running) on trailer. Re-listing for non-payment. Now starting at $1!

1974 Hatteras 31 Sport Cruiser. Twin Mercruiser model 350 454ci gasoline engines (closed cooling) with BW velvet drive transmissions. Fresh water boat kept on great lakes. Hull appears to be in excellent condition with no blisters or damage.

Steel Load Master 18,000 lb 3-axle trailer with electric brakes, 2 5/16 ball, and newer tires (one trip from OH to VA 3 years ago). I have the title for both the boat and trailer. I have the original owners binder with drawings (some badly faded), specs, etc. This is a project that is not getting done, so time to pass it along to someone who will finish it.

This is a great old boat thatI picked it after much research as a sea-worth ocean boat that can be trailered relatively easily (just under interstate height limit on the current trailer), and new engines are cheap. The boat is structurally sound and was largely unmolested. It looks like it sat for a long time resulting in water damage to the interior. The prior owner purchased it, made minor repairs and took it on the water in 2016. I was told that the starboard engine failed(looks like a rotted oil cooler line burst and oil drained out) and I believe this engine is ruined.

I was planning to replace both engines so they are stripped for removal but still in place. I have all the re-usable parts. I started the interior restoration. Damaged material inside has been stripped and damaged wood replaced. I was planning to add an interior helmstation, so the bench seat area has been modified. I have a LOT of high-quality parts for the restoration including:

All of this was purchased in the last 2 years. Over $10,000 invested in just parts and materials (not counting the boat and trailer).This is too good a boat to scrap.Needs someone who will get it back in the water.

This auction is AS-IS,no returns, for local pickup only (I will not ship) in Lovettsville, VA. Boat and trailer are going to be about 17,000 pounds , so plan transportation accordingly.
