1973 Grand Banks Heritage MY48 Motor Yacht Powerboat Trawler 48 ft Walkaround. This is a large boat with a great layout and a ton of potential that makes for a great cruiser or liveaboard. The hull is in excellent shape. The master aft cabin is roomy, featuring a queen bed, settee, lots of closet & storage space, and head with full bathtub and high-end vacuflush toilet. The combined galley/salon includes a fridge, freezer, microwave, ice maker, stove, oven, tons of counter space, and a nice dining table - all functional and nicely integrated. As you walk down into the front of the boat, you enter the guest quarters, which includes a couch that drops down into a full bed, as well as a private guest bathroom featuring a full shower and head. Further forward is the v-berth, which includes bunk beds, as well as a hidden head and hatch to the deck above. The large engine room features twin 120 hp Ford Lehman engines that both run and start-up great. The starboard engine has some knock due to some light scoring in one cylinder, but still runs nicely. The engine room also houses the Onan generator, battery banks, battery charger, easy access to the fuel and water tanks, etc. The large room size and easy access makes service a breeze. This vessel features 1000 gallons of diesel capacity and 500 gallons of fresh water capacity. This is a gorgeous wood-hull boat that I lived aboard on for 6+ years. During that time, I upgraded many of the systems on the boat including:- replaced all heat exchangers, oil coolers, exhaust elbows, expansion tanks, gaskets, hoses, temperature sensors, etc. on both engines- replaced all seacocks during haul out for hull painting in 2016- replaced master head with new Vacuflush toilet- reefed and replaced all deck seams on the boat with TDS teak sealant- quarterly hull cleanings, inspections, and zinc replacements- replaced fresh water system including new pump and filters- kept up with exterior paintingIn the 7 years I've owned the boat, I have had zero incidents, have always maintained insurance (which means regular surveys), and have kept up with maintenance and service, including zinc replacement, hull painting, etc. I'll be moving out of the bay soon and unfortunately will have to part with the boat. I don't have the luxury of showing it frequently and need to sell it ASAP (I'd take it with me if I could). I can provide additional detail as desired.
