1971 Grand Banks 36' TrawlerPurchased by my father in Aug 2016 as a company boat / office. At the time of purchase a full survey was completed and boat was valued at $36,000. Over the next year approx. $15,000 worth of work was done per the recommendations of the Survey. In Sept of 2017 approx. one year after purchase my father passed away unexpectedly. The boat was his thing. Since his passing I have been running the company and raising my kids. Unfortunately this leaves no time for a boat and it is being neglected. It is time to sell and I would rather have less than value now than wait the time I know a boat takes to sell at full price.I have had monthly bottom clean and zinc replacements and I hose it down about every month. All batteries have been replaced and it starts right up. I have included a link to a youtube video if the engines starting. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w8Wteewb5U4It has twin Ford Lehman 120 diesel engines. Hours unknown but start right up.Things I know are wrong. Paint needs paint and varnish. I had a friend patch some rough areas but he did not do a good job. The anchor motor needs repair. The front cabin and rear head have leaks. I cannot get the stereo to work. It may be a fuse. I am sure there are more things. The boat when purchased was named "Tom Cat" by dad changed the name to Kalliste - a sea-nymph of the Aegean island of Kalliste (now Santorini) .
We did a full name change ceremony which we recorded but I would need to locate. The boat is for sale as is , where is. It is docked at Shoreline Village in Long Beach CA. I encourage you to see in person and bring a mechanic if you would like. I will meet you there to inspect and start up. I will not do a sea trial. The boat is priced very aggressively at what I believe a write-off would be if I donated.
A $700.00 paypal deposit is due within 48 hours of acceptance. Balance due by cash at my bank or yours or cashiers check that I personally witness being issued. Sorry I was burned once with a fake cashiers check. I do not know how to transfer tittle on the boat. If an expert is needed the buyer will be responsible for the fees. I believe all fees/taxes are up to date. If not I will be responsible for those.Boat is also for sale locally and I reserve the right to end listing early if it sells.
