This is a very rare 1959 Glastron Seaflite Seville. It is one of about 12 that have been found so far out of a few hundred that were originally built in 1959... and they only built these boats for one year, 1959. In addition this boat was originally red like the one in the '59 Glastron brochure and to date it's the only red one still known to exist. As a result, most collectors consider this to be one of the "holy grail" boats from the finned boat era of the late 1950's. I searched for years to find this boat. I finally found it and purchased it a couple of years ago and drove 700 miles to pick it up. I've had every intention of restoring it and I'm very sad to sell it (as I may never see another) but unfortunately things happen and my plans have changed. As you can see from the pictures it needs a complete restoration but it is well worth the time and effort. It seems to have a solid floor but a previous owner has cut away some surface fiberglass to expose the stringers. The transom also feels solid but I would assume it may need some work as well. The board that supports the front lower dash area inside the cuddie cabin is broken and will need replacing and the fiberglass repaired. The top cuddie piece seems solid, as well as all the fiberglass around the boat, but it has spider cracks all around and those will need to be filled and repaired. I'm including what looks to be the original trailer but it has had some modifications from the previous owners. I actually used the trailer to pull the boat home 700 miles and it pulled fine at 65 mph with no problems. Please understand that both the boat and trailer need complete restoration! Since I haven't done any work to it there are certain to be issues that are not visible to the naked eye so understand I'm describing just what I can see. Again, it's a complete project... but in my opinion it's worth the effort!!!I'm located about 1.5 hours east of the Dallas/Ft. Worth area and that is where the boat will need to be picked up. A $1,000.00 deposit is due via bank wire transfer or by overnighting a postal money order within 48 hours of the completed auction.
