Glastron Scimitar

1980 23ft Glastron Scimitar was built in Anaheim, Ca. by Art Carlson. About 500 of the boats were made from 1980 to 1983, the last few were sold in 1984. About 300 of the 500 made were sold to dealers in seven different countries, leaving about 200 of them in the USA. Many of the ones sold since have also been shipped to other countries. If you already know what a Glastron-Carlson Scimitar is, you already know how rare, unique, and cool it is! If you aren't familiar with this special boat, you are looking at what is arguably one of the coolest and unusual sport boats ever designed and built. Featuring removable transparent T-Tops and a sleek sports car-like design, this model was built by legendary performance boat builder, Art Carlson. Art joined forces with Glastron, and the partnership created some of the most modern and beautiful fiberglass boats ever seen. The Scimitar is considered by many to be Art's crowning achievement. With moderate production numbers, and worldwide distribution, they are becoming increasingly difficult to find in this great condition. This Scimitar is Emerald Green and Mint in color, the boat is sitting on it's original aluminum mint green trailer, the original 260hp Mercruiser small block 350 Chevy, 270 actual hours, T-Tops are not shown in the pictures but are currently placed in storage. the gel coat finish is in Great condition, but it does reveal some very small "spider" on the back of the boat, The motor was totally rebuilt and some of the interior has been replaced.
