Glastron CVX-20

This boat is the pinnacle of design by Carlson that was offered in 3 flavors- inboard, outboard, and I believe the best- jetdrive. It's powered by a Ford 460 with a open intake and Holley 750.We installed a Mallory rev control that keeps the RPM's down when hopping waves. A hydrolic Place Diverter angles the outdrive for hole-shots and trim for speed. This boat leaps out of the water and trimmed out will do 60-65 in a lite chop against the rev limiter. I've had this boat since 1992, but all our buddies sold their boats and we just don't use it. The motor and running gear work great and has been very reliable. Over the years, we've replaced the short-block ( hence the rev control ), installed stainless valves in the heads, rebuilt the outdrive, Place Diverter, had custom seat covers made, and kept the windshield intact with a little epoxy and aluminum reinforced ( new cost is 550.00). The hull still looks great and the metalflake still sparkles.We repainted the trailer, installed new hubs, new bunks and tires about 2 years ago. If you have never driven a jet boat- it's a trip! They can stop on a dime and corner on rails at speed. Included in this auction is a travel cover we had made up years ago and is showing it's age a little (would make a good pattern). Also included is a good quality tarp for winter storage and a supports- see pics. This boat has a 28 gallon tank and gets about 2 MPG at a cruise and will last a day of play. This boat always attracted attention and has been a blast- hate to let it go. The floors and stringers are solid, had the alternator rebuilt and has an A-impeller. I had Pat Kelley of Gr. Rapids put the mural on the bow. I'm a retired fireman and it seamed like a good idea at the time. I can remove it for a modest cost. We've sold a few cars over the years thru E-bay and you can bid with confidence. We could be talked into delivering.
