Glastron CVX-18

Glastron enthusiasts, classic boat collectors, family wakeboarders and water skiers alike, will all appreciate this classic and cool, well designed sport ski boat. Model was featured in one of James Bond movies (Google it:).If you are looking for a turn key and get on the lake this weekend, then this boat is not for you. Most Glastron Carlson boat enthusiasts will really appreciate this classic CVX-18 which is being offered as a "Project boat" package.Boat includes the original Mercruiser outdrive, steering, hydraulic trim pump, shift cables, which are all in place (condition of all components is unknown and may need service or replacement).Boat is already equipped with a cool looking wakeboard ski tower and has its original custom matched boat trailer. Just installed two brand new heavy duty Load range D (8 ply) tires on trailer this week.Floor and stringers are pretty solid for an original 40+ year old boat.Wrap around smoke tinted Windshield is in very good condition.Upholstery has had a great deal of Southwest sun and weather exposure and is in poor condition (see pictures).Boat mostly needs a good fresh, drop-in, long block motor installed and hooked up to get out on Lake.I started a Google search for this collector classic and found most similar (restored) boats selling for $8,000-$20k+. This classic boat package is starting at only $1275...You can invest as little or as much as you desire in such a boat.Personally, having grown up on a midwestern lake in the early 80's, I really looked forward to dropping a simple, carburated, GM 350 8 cylinder into this boat.But I do not currently have a motor for this boat and too many other projects this spring. Now would be a great time to get this one ready for when lakes open again. This Boat listing has many pictures that can be enlarged (hope you enjoy them). Original Metal fleck paint is in typical shape for age of that type paint. Underside hull and gel coat is still very shiny and in very good condition.
