1973 Glastron Crestflite V 184 with Mercruiser 165 Inline V6 motor.
Boat runs very good hasnt been used in 2 years now. Was winterized and fully serviced before putting away. Always serviced annual - new plugs/rotor/cap and water pump installed before putting away 2 years ago. No leaks and body in great shape for the age. See notes below on work that has been done and the items I had on my list that I haven't had time to finish. We have not used the boat for the last 2 summers due to being too busy and using the pontoon more than this. Time to clear out some spare in the garage.I completely gutted this boat 9 years ago and worked on it for 2 1/2 years -- have put about 80 running hours on it since then - and like I mentioned before, hasn't been used for 1 1/2 years (last two summers.) I have a total of $5500 invested over the years - just trying to recoup as much as I can but the boat has given us many summers of great memories out on the lakes! Here are some of the items that were done:New shift/throttle remote and cablesNew boat wiring harnessFully reworked dash with new gauges and switchesReseal floor and new carpetAll seats redone/new vinyl and some foam/wood replacedFuel tank flushed and cleanedStereo system with Jensen AM/FM/CD/USB/AUX installed in glove box4 Kicker marine speakers
2 channel marine amp (all hooked up just never got to purchase a sub but if ready to hook up)New horn, cleats, full hose and fill, vent
Diver ladder - 4 step - with transom mount (removable)Installed in dash Lowrance depth finder with temp LST-3800 thru hull transducerNew cover with buckle straps and support polesFull paint jobNew Mercruiser 4 blade aluminum Spitfire prop and hub kit2 Interstate batteries with battery selector switch (Heavy Duty starting battery and deep cycle for the stereo - you can run stereo without killing the starting battery. Shut off switch to kill all power or jump between batteries to let the motor charge both at the same time while running.)On the paint - I ran out of time (and got in a hurry to get it on the water) - and I didn't prep the lower hull of the boat correctly - as you can see a good portion of the new white paint on the lower hull has peeled. The sides (from the side lip on up) has been great, no peeling and no issues at all - just didn't prep the lower hull correctly to help the paint adhere. My plan was to strip it back down and just leave the lower hull as the off-white original color - did not get this completed yet and just don't have the free time to do anything else with. Special Interlux Brightside paint was used - which is made specifically for fiberglass/gelcoat repainting. I will include all the accessories in the boat...life jackets, ladder, Airhead tube, some fenders/ropes/anchor/lines/etc.A few other items that might need attention - I have lived with these and just need to do a little annual maintenance to keep up on these items - but would be pretty simple fixes for someone who is handy:Trim fluid leaks a little I usually just filled up once or twice a year doesnt leak much but if it gets low you will hear the trim pump make a different sound and will cause trim to be a little slower. Has never caused any other issues. Because of this the trim does leak down on its own after about 10-12 days. I just always tie it up when I put the cover on and havent had time to search into it further. Pretty common for the age of the trim unit - as it's still the original pump. The motor does leak some oil no major leaks and after putting about 40 hours on it only down about qt. Looks to be coming from the side covers which should be a pretty easy fix if you want to fix it. Nothing abnormal for the age by any means. Windshield is in great shape - no broken glass and frame is in pretty good shape. The plastic hinge for the middle walk thru finally came apart and I was not able to find any - so can either just leave closed like I always have, or a person would want to install some metal hinges on it.A couple more notes:The back to back seats these no longer fold down. When I recovered them the hinges were shot and I didnt ever foresee myself wanting to fold them down so they are just attached as is. The original trailer pretty much fell apart from rust/age - I picked up this 2007ish Glastron trailer from a salvage yard (nothing wrong with the trailer but was totaled out due to the boat being rear ended. I went through wheel bearings and had the frame/alignment checked on the trailer and has worked great for me for the 5 years I've had it. The only problem is it was totaled out which means it cannot be licensed. In my state that's ok as we don't register trailers (just part of the registration of the boat) - but please check your local laws....if you have to purchase tabs/license plates for the trailer you might have issues. I would be willing to consider an offer for boat only if this becomes a problem for the buyer...and I do have the means to put the boat onto your own trailer if it comes down to it. Trailer will be sold as "homemade" . Also - this trailer does work pretty well for the boat, but the boat is a little longer than the trailer so tongue weight is not quite what it should be. I have hauled that way for years with no issues - but just wanted to make sure the buyer is aware.Boat is located in Fargo, ND. I do not have any way to deliver this but would help load it onto a flatbed if the buyer wanted to line up shipping. Deposit of $300 through Paypal is due within 48 hours. If purchase is not finished up as promised the deposit will be non-refundable and used to cover the costs of listing. If you have any questions - please write me and I will get back to you. I am trying to disclose everything I know about this boat - including the items that may need attention. This boat / motor and trailer are all sold AS IS with no warranty - if you would like to see the boat before purchasing please let me know and we can arrange something. Or if you would be traveling and would like more pictures let me know.
