I am selling my 1981 Glastron Carlson boat along with a trailer. The boat is 16 feet in length and has a 115hp Mercury outboard engine. The boat is running and the hull is not damaged. It can get up to about 45-50 MPH. The prop is in great shape and overall this is a boat that has been taken care of. The upholstery and seats are new and in excellent shape. The paint overall looks greats although there is a little bit of fading on one side. The power trim is a bit sketchy. It seems to work the way it is supposed to about 50% of the time and the other 50% of the time, the motor doesn't move at all. If you are handy with electrical work, it's probably an easy fix- maybe a loose or corroded connection. The horn doesn't work at all, and the depth finder worked at one point but it does not work at the moment. Again, it's likely an easy fix. The spedometer works as does the tachometer. The gas gauge seems to be broken. It takes premium fuel. A fire extinquisher is included, along with anchor/rope and light. I've never tested the lights to see if they work. I will throw in a tube along with the rope.
I take the boat out a couple times a month and it starts right up. The boat does everything it is supposed to do in regards to steering, reversing, going forward, etc. It's very quick because it's such a light boat and can get up to full speed right away. There's no bogging down or smoke from the engine; anything of that nature. It's never gotten me stranded on the lake and it's very reliable. The trailer is a bit rusty and both tail lights are smashed out but it gets the job done. The hitch, the pulley, the rollers, and the chain all function the way they are supposed to. The tires are in good shape.Local pick-up only.If you have any other questions or if I forgot to cover something, feel free to ask. Thank you for looking.
