1965 GLASTRON CRESTFLITE V-174 RUNABOUT17' CLOSED BOW, 140 HP MERCRUISER (CHEVY) STRAIGHT SIX WITH 2 1BARREL CARBURETORS.THE ENGINE POPS OFF WITH SOME GAS PRIMER- THE CARBS FLOOD THE ENGINE AND NEED OVERHAUL. THE ENGINE LOOKS VERY CLEAN AND IT LOOKS LIKE THE HEAD WAS REBUILT NOT LONG AGO. AS, IT APPEARS TO HAVE BEEN IN FRESH WATER ONLY.THE FLOOR IS SOLID, UPHOLSTERY LOOKS OK AND THE BOAT HAS ALL THE OPTIONS LIKE SPOTLIGHT, HORN, TACH, AIRGUIDE CLOCK, LIGHTS AND BOW HATCH. THERE IS ALSO A WINCH UNDER THE DASH- I THINK AS A BACK UP FOR THE THE POWER TILT.THE TRAILER HAS AN ELECTRIC WINCH ALONG WITH A MANUAL ONE. I BOUGHT THIS AS A PROJECT A FEW YEARS AGO AND HAVE SINCE FOUND A BOAT I LIKE BETTER, SO THIS ONE IS UP FOR SALE. I HAVE NOT RUN IT OR PUT IT IN THE WATER. THE TIRES AND WHEEL BEARINGS ARE OK FOR TRAVEL. IT IS WORTH MORE IN PARTS THEN MY STARTING PRICE.THIS 50 YEAR OLD CLASSIC WAS BUILT TO LAST AND WILL TURN HEADS.SOLD AS IS.A $200 PAYPAL DEPOSIT REQUIRED WITHIN 2 DAYS OF PURCHASE- THE REST DUE IN CASH UPON PICKUP. It is hard to tell how old advertisements are on this site as they are not dated (that I can see). I am interested in the boat if it is still available. I live in Livermore, CA so it would be a bit of a trip to get to see the boat. Ad says southwest Oregon, please advise town. Could tires/bearings make it to Livermore from your location? I don't have any other questions at this point because your writeup is very detailed. But I would need to see and inspect the boat before buying. Thanks, and if there is any other pertinent information, please send.
