No Reserve.Glastron Carlson CVX-16.Here is my 1978 Glastron Carlson CVX-16 Survivor.I am the second owner andI purchased this boat out of northern Montana where the boat season is extremely short. The original owner used it every summer until 1982, got married, got pregnant, and the boat got stored away. The boat was stored indoors, under cover. I bought the boat a little over two years ago. I owned one of these, this exact same color, back in the early eighties and it has always been my favorite boat. When I decided to find another one, I looked long and hard to locate one of the same color and in exceptional condition. At the time, I was living in Colorado and I traveled to Michigan, New York, Georgia, Texas and eventually to the north western point of Montana before I found one that wasnt either rotten, butchered or broken. This boat is exceptional! Everything on this boat is original and in excellent original condition except the carpet. The original owner replaced the carpet and began to replace the upholstery. The three cushions on the rear bench have been recovered. I have spent the last two years restoring the trailer, polished out the original Aluminum Mag Wheels to a mirror finish. Replaced the wheel bearings, added Bearing Buddies, put brand new Hartland Radial Trailer tires on it last summer, replaced all the bulbs and all the lights now work. I put a new wench and strap on it, and new chains. All the wood bunks, fender sides and platforms have all been replaced with pressure treated wood and covered with new Indoor Outdoor carpet. Painted the trailer last summer to match the boat. The trailer is top notch shape and matches the boat perfectly. As for the boat itself, replaced the original 20 Gallon metal gas tank with a NOS, exact match, plastic replacement tank I found in Dallas. Everything fit perfectly, sending unit, pickup line, vent hose, fuel line to the back, all matched perfectly. I added one in line fuel filter as well. All the gauges work as they should, all the dash lights work, all the navigation lights work. The steering wheel is in excellent condition with no cracks at all. All the chrome is bright. All the badges are all still intact, in place and look great. This boat even looks good under the back in the battery area. The rubber trim is still in excellent shape. Even the wood trim on the back is original and in amazingly excellent shape. The floor and transom are as solid as new. The metal fleck is bright, beautiful and when the sun hits it, itll knock your eyes out!The gel coat and finish on the entire boat is in excellent condition, still glossy, even the hull. The motor is the original motor that came on the boat new, a 1978 Evinrude 140 with extremely low hours. Still has the original prop on it. I replaced the water pump this last spring and rebuilt the carbs and put new plugs in last June. Took it to a local shop for a complete checkup, mechanic said the motor was in excellent shape, inside and out. Boat starts right up, idles out clean and will absolutely shoot you out of the hole. This motor has been in Fresh Water Only. When I pulled the foot to change the water pump, the insides were absolutely clean as a pin.If you like attention, owning a classic that looks fantastic and having a boat that handles like a knife, this is it.I get stopped at the dock, the gas station, on the lake, get the thumbs up everywhere I go.This classic is as close as youll ever get to being able to purchase a new, original, un-restored 1978 Glastron Carlson CVX-16.Boat comes complete, includes, oars, marine fire extinguisher, Obrien skis, brand new ski rope, knee board, dock bumpers, and life jackets.Step back in time, own a classic, recapture some of your youth, or just have a really slickuniqueboat. The above was written by theprevious owner.I (3rd owner) purchased the boat 4 years (2017) ago and it have been used only a few times a year due to mybusywork schedule.Detailing and normal preventive service have been doneannually and the boat is ready for its new owner to enjoy.Ichanged the originalpropeller to astainless steel prop and to match a Stainless skegguard.Boat is located in Sevierville Tennessee.A $500 Non-Refundable Deposit is due 24 hrs after the end of auction.Rest balance is due within3days due to my work schedule unless other arrangements are made.Buyer is responsible for shipping at own cost or local pick up.Boat is Sold as is with no warranty written or implied. If you have any questions please send me an Email.Happy bidding :)
