42' GIBSON 1987 HOUSEBOAT - UNIQUE FLOATING CONDO
My current slip rent is $400 a month & can remain here or moved anywhere you wish.
Boat was heavily remodeled by prior owner 7 years ago. I have added my personal taste with many new things. Please notice the dark/black colors. Boat will come with all the furnishing, appliance, dishes, window treatment, 2 flat screen tvs, etc. This boat is not for everyone because no internal shower. I use the marina's facilities. Floating condo with about 400 sq ft internally.
APPLIANCE KITCHEN - Full size refrigerator, 2 burner propane cook top built into "dresser", microwave, toast-r-oven, blender & coffee maker. All appliance except cook top are 2 years old. No stove. Vessel sink. Storage under sink but covered so don't see clutter. Built in ledge along galley. Opposite side is a dresser with 2 burners. Track lighting. Some heads don't work. 3 portable fans. More storage baskets below shelves. No hot water heater it is instant on demand system.
FLOOR - Vinyl with wood appearance. Galley floor has some unevenness but nothing major. 2nd level inside floor excellent.
BATHROOM - Small stainless sink & electric toilet. No shower. However, shower head outside on back with hot cold water.
BEDROOM Back of the boat with a queen size bed with flat screen in back of boat. There is another possible bedroom underneath but only has a 3ft ceiling. Or a lot more storage space.
2nd LEVEL INSIDE - New couch with large ottoman. Black pvc rattan made for exterior use. Another ottoman. Window treatment. 48 flat screen.
CLOSETS / STORAGE - Hanging bar shelves built in. Second wire shelving. Storage in the cook top dresser & under sink. Plus underneath where 2nd bedroom could be. As it is confirned with bedroom is back there is a ton of storage room.
PAINT - Black walls gray ceiling. Outside off white.
AC / HEAT - 2 ceiling RV ACs. Helm one doesn't work. Galley is brand new as of April 2016 16,500 BTU. Has heating element. Have 1 other portable AC not fan that was bought last summer.
ELECTRICAL- Black switches with black outlets. A few outlets that are 12 volt don't work. Tons of outlets still available. Uses 2 X 30 amp shore electricity.
WINDOWS - Tons of windows everywhere with tint with none being broken. No real leakage expect 1 window if rain is very heavy.
ENGINES - 2 inboard Crusader 225 HP. Both rebuilt 7 years ago. One works perfectly with almost no hours. Drove 2 years ago from Palmetto to St Pete. The other engine is dead. Wasn't rebuilt properly. What is wrong I don't know.
PLUMBING - All good except fresh water pump goes on even when neither facet is open. There is a hole in a pipe somewhere beneath the floor. Water accumulates into a bilge & then discharged outside. Causes no damage whatsoever. I just turn the water off from a switch when not using water so no more water flows. Been living like this for a year. Minor inconvenience.
2 UPPER DECKS - No soft spots. Comes with 2 chez lounges & 5 sitting chairs. Everything matches. High quality pvc rattan style.
EXTERIOR PAINT - Mostly excellent. Did some touch up on some red stains, not rust since no metal in this area, paint was whiter than current faded color. Bottom paint was redone when remodeled. Diver says still in excellent shape. Swim platform ladder.
RAILS & CLEATS - Everything in excellent shape. During remodel some cleats were re-positioned with larger size cleats.
MECHANICAL - Can steer from inside or up top. As I said, made 4 hour journey 2.5 years ago from Palmetto to St Pete. In late April from SPB to Madeira. Boat started monthly. The only gauge that works is RPM & volts. No other gauges working.
TANKS - All working & in good shape. Can be seen from inside hatch. Both tanks are either 50 or 75 gallons each.
BILGE PUMPS & BATTERIES - Total of 2 bilges with both being great. One battery in engine for starting, 12 volt system & bilge. One battery inside running inside bilge. Both hooked up to chargers. No generator or solar.
COLOR SCHEME - Dark colors/black with everything matches. Floor dark brown. I'm very picky take pride in my boat. But not everyone's taste.
ACCESSORIES - All ropes, life jackets, fire extinguishers come with. No ship to shore radio.
IF THIS WAS A PERFECT BOAT (internal shower & no leak (but still one engine) the cost wouldn't be $23,000 but $35,000 & sold quickly.)
I have more pictures so send me a message & a way to send directly to you.
