1988 Gibson 44 Cabin Yacht. Best houseboat manufacturer on the market. These designs handle far more seas than pontoon houseboats. Fiberglass hull, shallow draft, straight inboards with velvet drives. Engines run great! Twin crusader 350 gasoline.(has 2 year old engine on stbd side) 9kw Westerbeke Generator. Also an additional Honda 2000eu generator rigged topower the boat when stove or air conditioners are not needed. The Westerbeke burns 1.5gallons per hour and the Honda only burns 1 gallon in about 10 to 12 hours which powers battery charger, all outlets, refrigerator, fans, etc. Steering station on bridge deck under bimini top as well as steering station in the cabin, both fully operational. Boat has stainless grill, hot water heater, full size fridge, microwave, oven and stove, two heads and showers, all working great. 3 full size beds, and 3 couches not including a blow up mattress for star gazing sleep on the upper deck. Sleeps a lot of people. All windows open for a very breezy interior without AC running and provides for amazing views from inside. This boat has just been remodeled inside with all new waterproof flooring and baseboards, new Sunbrella wrapped cushions for the wrap around dining room table/couches, new paneling in cuddy cabin, 2 new beds for the cuddy cabin, and master stateroom has new bed with heavy duty all wood convertible couch/bed frame ,and boat just equipped with 2 new air conditioners, new battery bank charger, new pump on westerbeke, freshly painted running gear, with 2 new seals on both shafts. This boat spent the majority of its life in a fresh water lake and has only been in saltwater for 5 years. The engines have never seen salt water as I had installed two new fresh water cooling kits on them prior to using her in salt water. Within the last 5 years: installed all new premium trident plumbing and valves throughout the entire boat for the septic system and raised up and leveled out the hose where needed to prevent any sagging or low spots in the lines. Installed new Electroscan waste treament system which completely treats the waste for Coastguard approved discharge straight overboard. Great option to have in place of holding waste on board in your tanks and having to pump it out regularly. In any case I also installed a system to promote the proper bacteria growth in your holding tanks. This prevents all boat smells relating to waste. Installed two new fresh water tanks on the bridge deck for a total of 205 gallons of fresh water, I never run out. 4 speakers in cabin around 1 year old and 2 speakers on bridge deck about 3 years old. Speaker selector to choose different zones. I have taken great care of this boat and have it waxed every year along with maintenance on engines. I doubt you will find one in saltwater with fiberglass in as good as condition as this one.
