Selling my 2013 Four Winns SL242 boat, has a 300 HP Volvo I/O engine with Duo Prop,243 hours on it. Boat has many standard amenitiesincluding an enclosed head, AM/FM Stereo with Transom Speakers and Transom controls, swim platform, front and rear ladders for easy boarding from shore and open water, transom shower, transom trim and tilt switch, table for front or back of boat, Bow filler cushion to turn the front seats areainto one large lounging area (one of the kids favorite features!! See pictures of normal open front and with the extra cushions and backer board installed)a reclining rear seat that lays out flat for a perfect sunbathing bed (Everyone'sfavorite feature! See pictures of normal rear bench seating, then those with the rear bench opened and flattened into the sunbathing bed),underwater lightingand more plus expensive options including the WakeBoard Tower and Duo Props. Loads of storage areasincluding a hidden area under the frontcushion for the table and extra bow cushions, a ski and wakeboard storage area, a coolerstorage area under the back seat to keep the cooler out of the way, and much more!
Boat is trailered and is sitting on a Four Winns trailer designed specifically forthis boat. Just guide the boat to the bunk and it loads up evenly every time. No struggling or readjusting numerous times to get the boat straight like I see so many other boaters do every weekend at the dock! Front of trailer bar can be folded in by removing a pin, thatgives you an exta 4 feet in your driveway as opposed to standard trailers without this feature.
Have lots of memories of Summer days fishing, tubing and wakeboarding with my kids andtheir friends but we just didn't seem to have anytime to use it much the past 2years.Kids are getting older so I'm afraid that will be the norm going forward, sadly it's timeto sell the boat. Great for families, plenty of room with seating and storage for all of your needs.
There are more photos available herehttps://www.dropbox.com/sh/lxkg77esv1som7g/AACLg5u58q93qS4AvWLZVtVTa?dl=0taken over this past weekend (June 22/23) as well as a short recent video from June 17th, 2019showing the boat running. You will see the Sunday June 16th, 2019 cover of Newsday and my phone showing Monday June 17th in the first few seconds, last 20 seconds shows us leaving the no wake zone and accelerating smoothly.
You can use the boat as is right now without hesitation, there are a few minor issues that you may, or may not, choose to address. I am not handy with regard to fixing things, none is a big dealand I wish I had the time and knowledge to address them myself.
Right side of trailer, needs a new fender. If you are mooring your boat or keep it in a marina the traileris fine as is and the fender probably isn't worth replacing.
Navigation lights: white light is permanently mounted on tower, works perfectly. The Red / Green Nav light pole needs to be replaced, probably $20 max.
Speakers: Radioworks, either a fuse needs to be replaced or one of the speakers is shorting out the others so the volume is muted, haven't had time to check all of the wires but shouldn't be a big issue to resolve.
Anchor / Front ladder storage bin.Missing a $5? small cover on the ouside, not needed as the water drains out exactly as it is supposed to, just wanted to point it out for aesthetics purposes.
Horn: Can be replaced, (about $30) or keep a portable $5 one from Walmart on board like we did.
Canopy: driver side hangs down slightly on edge. Can replace bar inside if you wish, provides shade as designedso Iused it as is.
Serious inquiries only please. $500 deposit required via confirmed Paypal address upon purchase, balance due by Wire transfer, Cashier's Check or Money Orders within 14 days. Title is in my name and clear, no liens as I bought the boat outright.
Questions
I know you may not be the owner of this boat anymore, but I am thinking of buying this from a dealer in Florida. It does not not appear to have been run much it still shows 250 hours.
Is there anything you are aware of mechanicle wrong with this boat? Did you flush the engine otherwise in salt water?
Anything else I should know?
I am grateful for any insight you would be willing to share.
