I purchased this 1989 Four Winns 21ft Horizon boat in Florida in Jan 1st 2003, two pictures of the boat at my sisters house the day I picked it up. I picked it upas a project to work on over the winter. What I liked about the boat it was kept in a garage and was only used in fresh water. But the interior was shot and the floor was rotted out. I was retired and always had a boat, I had this 17 years and did many things to it to make it nice. So I think you'll be getting a great deal with a little fixing up you'll have a great boat. I wish I could say it's a turn key, but some little work is still needed, like rebuilding the started, and adjusting the shaft cables. You should be ready to rock n roll.Unfortunately due to health reasons the Horizon must go to a new home. This was going to need a total make over. All the cushions were shot and needed reupholstering. The engine compression was strong and outdrive were fine and all the mechanicals as well, just the usual maintenance. This is some of the things I had done to make it nice again. Took everything out except the engine and mechanicals and replaced it, starting with the new floor and some fiberglass work. I redesigned the rear of the boat with a large engine cover and a rear seat and installed two new front seats that swivel and adjust in height. The new engine cover is nice to starch out on and catch some rays. Also used as seating for either side of the boat, the swim area or the inside of the boat. It has a large swim deck made of teak with a fold down ladder. The front open area was completely done over with new fabric. Covers were made for the front and rear area in a blue and gray wide stripe. The engine had lots of attention as well. New parts, starter, solenoid, battery and the cables going to it from the engine ground and positive #4. Ignition switch, coil, distributor cap and rotor, points, condenser, plugs and plug wires. Gas Line from tank to carburetor with new gas shutoff valve for the gas tank. New fuses at engine 50amp and at dash. The gas tank was removed with the old gas and cleaned out and reinstalled with new gas. Its a 55gal aluminum tank. This boat today sells for over $60,000 same as this one only new. So if you can deal with some age, youll save a lot of money. Keep in mind, back in 1989 they made them stronger and heavier, more solid, when you hit those waves at high speed. You can feel the difference for sure. Its more of plowing though the wave then it throwing you up over the waves due to a light weight boat. Has a new FM marine radio w/ CD player and USB port and drive, with four speaker.I designed this rear seat area to be removed with a few bolts for easy access to the engine to work on.Theengine hours are 484 hours, that works out to 15.6 hours per year, for this 31 year old boat. Here is a link to the engine running in the driveway and shifting forward and reverse, https://youtu.be/r2fBADkSm14Trailer is fine, pulls well and strong. I would get new tires if going any distance, be on the safe side.A anchor with line. Bumpers, dock lines, and A new bimini top in white vinyl. Has a teak full swim platform that is in great shape but could use a treatment. This is as is, where is, condition, please come check it out, kick the tires, check out the engine whatever, want you to be a happy buyer.I you wish to have it shipped, Uship worked for me.NOTE 1: The engine is not running at this time due to a solenoid getting hung up. The starter is fairly new and is a marine starter, but when the boat just sits there in the driveway this is what happens.NOTE 2. Shift Cables need adjustments. There are Five Steps to doing this which I will enclose with the paperwork.I will also give you all the drawing I have for the seats at the bow with sizes. A drawing of the boat to scale with the new back area.
