You are bidding on a Super Clean 2005 Four Winns 288 Vista powered by twin Mercuruiser 350 MPI Motors with just under 300 hours of total use. The colors on this beautiful Mid-Size Cruiser are elegant, and soft to the eye. What a head turner, and the interior is as plush as the exterior with very little wear and tear. Loaded up with Generator, Air, and much more this 288 Vista is loaded up with the goodies. The only thing recommended is that a GPS/Chart-Plotter be added. The existing Raytheon unit is obsolete, and needs replacement. We have gone through both motors, and have already performed full services on both engines. Ready for some fun in the Sun!!

Four Winns V288 Captain's Report
Are you the type of boater thats not ready to go home just yet? The kind that likes to make the most of your weekends? At the dock or on the hook, no boat outclasses the Time MAKER from Four Winns, the V288 the weekenders weekender!Hardware on the BowThe remote bowrail mounted guest spotlight lets you know this boat is meant to do some coastal cruising. The next clue comes from the Maxwell windlass with foot switches for both dropping and raising the plow anchor. A stainless steel cleat is affixed next to the hawser hole to secure the anchor rode under a flush mount deck hatch. The plow anchor stays put underway with a pull pin chain stop while it rests atop its anchor sprit. A small deck plate permits any maintenance to the windlass motor. Lewmar makes the three translucent circular hatches on the foredeck that will provide plenty of ventilation below on cool days. There are sun pads on both the port and starboard side of the foredeck that snap into place. To get between the bow and cockpit use the walkover console and the walk-through windshield. Deck lights for nighttime navigation between the two are provided.Features at the HelmDanforth manufactures the dash mounted compass, large and easily viewed. The console itself is comprehensive and the Faria gauges are in tandem for this twin engine beauty. Aside from the typical fuel, speed, tach, volts and oil pressure indicators, there are separate gauges for both trim tabs well as dual engine synchronizers. There is one 12 volt accessory adapter and two cup holders by the tilt wheel. A fixed remote control for the Clarion stereo system is to the left of the wheel (Inop). Four Winns provides one year of the Sirius satellite radio activation along with the purchase. Also to the port side of the wheel is a bank of rocker style panel switches: spotlight; dome light (radar arch mounted); 3 accessory switches ; wipers; engine hatch; blower; bilge pump and horn.Cockpit SeatingThe double helm seat is cushioned with a bolster, and is adjustable any number of ways. There is an armrest to the right of the helm and it opens to show small storage, say for keys and a wallet. Two storage compartments are also available under the helm seat (one is just open, the other can be closed), as well as an opening porthole for the quarter berth down below. The forward passenger seat is atypical in that it is a double bench that runs along the gunwale. Recessed behind this runs a cubby with two cup holders. There is a speaker at each of these seats for the stereo system. Under the passenger seat are the vinyl enclosures. A deck light and stainless handrail are below the bench cushion.Aft of the forward passenger seat is a smallish sink with an equally small dry storage above the Corian counter top and two drink holders. The locker created by the space below the sink opens outward via two doors and on a tray, out slides the 36 quart Igloo cooler. Its a pretty crafty setup. If you happen to be in need of a blender at this station, a sealed double 110v outlet is provided just below the countertop. A deck light illuminates the base.Cockpit FeaturesFrom behind the helm station, passenger seating is horseshoe shaped following the gunwale and the stern, stopping at an Acrylic transom door. Space is provided for a removable cocktail table. Shade for the cockpit area is provided by a bimini with stainless steel supports, which incorporates the radar arch in its design. The underside of the arch sports two more stereo speakers and two 12-volt lamps. At the apex and both bases of the arch are access panels.
Engine AccessUnder the cockpit carpeting is a smaller locking hatch to get to the two Mercruiser 350 MPI engines for fluid checks etc. before operation. The larger electric engine hatch (of which the smaller is incorporated) requires nothing moved to fully open and that is wonderful. The Kohler generator and marine A/C are housed here in the engine compartment and are quieted by hush board for noise insulation.TransomA look at the stern and swim platform reveals a freshwater fill on the port side. One oversized storage locker opens from port to starboard containing hot and cold water; small showerhead; pressure water connector and shore power cable. The swim platform on the vessel a tasteful touch. The swim ladder is a standard of Four Winns in that it is a three fold affair of powder coated aluminum with starboard side nuts and bolts housed in a flush mount locker with hand hold cut from its center.Down BelowThere is so much to talk about below decks that its unfair to label this boat a weekender. Starting with the sliding companionway and its secondary sliding screen enclosure, which makes cruising much more pleasurable for the ones in the cabin. The spacious stand up head is to the left as you step down. It converts to a shower with the curtain pulled across the door and the faucet is the showerhead when extended. The Jabsco head is in the corner next to the sizeable sink. Two small A/C vents cool the area or open the porthole. There is an adequate amount of shelving and locker space down here as well. At 30 feet in length overall, the V288 features a surprisingly nice galley. Its forward of the head on the port side and features an electric burner set in Corian. Hot and cold water are supplied to the sink faucet, with its cover doubling as a cutting service. Above the counter, set into cabinetry is a small Kenmore microwave oven and above that a dorm fridge.Sleeping AccommodationsThis takes us the V-berth, typically set up as seating with a removable real wooden table set in the middle. Once again there is storage below all three seat cushions. But, thats not all the table seating on this boat. Believe it or not, a love seat on the starboard side also has a removable wooden cocktail table. With wooden inserts and a repositioning of cushions the V-berth transforms into a large sleeper. Wooden trim protects two large home entertainment-style stereo speakers above the love seat. Two cabinets are a part of this set up, opening upward and held in position by spring supports. The bulkhead next to the love seat is where you find a DVD player, the base unit of the Clarion AM/FM/CD player and the ships service panel including shore power as well as air conditioning controls and an 8 disc CD changer. A flat screen TV (DVD player) folds down from the headliner at the entrance to the quarter berth.Actually, to call it a quarter berth is an injustice. Its one of the larger ones Ive seen on a boat this size. Bedding rests just above sole level and a couple of long shallow cabinets can store sheets or towels.Specs and PerformanceNow heres some math in the mix. With half of the 120 gallons of fuel in its tank, the 288 needed an average 5.27 seconds to plane and the best time to reach 30 MPH was 10.26 seconds. Weight was dispersed evenly across the 98 beam aiding in the slim 39 of draft. In moderately choppy seas and idling at 600 RPM the V288 traveled 4.3 MPH sucking a paltry .6 GPH. Putting the twin duo props to work at 2500 RPM, 14.3 MPH was achieved while using 6.8 GPH to do it. At 3500 RPM the 288 was clocking 30 MPH using 9.6 GPH, and we found her top speed to be 39 MPH burning 18.8 GPH at 4500 RPM. Perhaps most impressive are the dB meter numbers. Never going over 90 decibels at full throttle, idle noise was a recorded 67 dB.

Two cabinets are a part of this set up, opening upward and held in position by spring supports. he bulkhead next to the love seat is where you find a DVD player, the base unit of the Clarion AM/FM/CD player and the ships service panel including shore power as well as air conditioning controls and an 8 disc CD changer.
