This is an '89 Four Winns Freedom 170 bow rider w/ the 2.3L OMC/Cobra I/O (appx 130hp) - trailer included. We have owned the boat for 2 seasons. Good condition for its age. Did a lot of work on it myself. Towards the end of the summer, the bilge started taking on a little more water than usual. This was diagnosed, by US Boatworks in KC, as a suspected bad gimble housing seal and/or stringers. It could also be a torn steering cable boot. Estimated repairs for something like that run appx $800 to $1600 DIY up to $3200+ professional depending on the source of and extent of the problem. We considered a repair but we simply do not have the facilities and equipment available for the task and we can't justify the professional repair knowing that we'd be getting a larger boat in a year or two. This is priced accordingly. The engine is tip top and compression tested last month as is the out drive. It was pressure tested at 10psi and vacuum at -10hgi in July. Exterior hull is great condition. All gauges work except for the trim gauge. The boat can be run as is. We just had it out last month but these repairs will need to be addressed within a year. Engine and gear oil are fresh. Oil filter and fuel filter replaced in May.Things we have done since we've owned it:
- New fuel sender
- New fish finder/depth guage w/GPS
