Fountain Fever

For sale is my 1992 Fountain Fever 27. I am selling the boat because the engine developed stresscracks in the cylinder heads that eventually let water seep into engine block. This happened on start up idling at my boat dock. I promptly shut it down and took it up to a local marina which made the diagnosis. The heads were magna-fluxed which revealed the crack. The engine block was vacuumed out of all the old oil and water, lubed up heavily and shrink wrapped. The block may be salvageable. The boat is in pretty nice shape for it age and would make a great project for someone that has the time to fix it to their liking. When running, this boat handles beautifully and hit upper 70's. The gelcoat shines well but vinyl graphics are worn and peeling off. The boat is equipped with external hydraulic steering, a bravo 1 outdrive that has had some prior modifications, and is equipped with a 540CID V-8 rated at 650 HP DART internals, Merc exhaust manifolds, Dart Intake and a Holley 950 CFM carburetor.
