Up for sale is my 42 ft Fountain Executioner. I simply do not have time or room for her any more. I have owned her for about 4 years. I had her professionally built by ProTec Marine in Orange Beach, AL. They are the high performance Mercury dealer and build a lot of high end go fast boats for our region. They completed the project 2 years ago. She is in exceptional condition for her age. She is currently stored in a climate controlled building and has always been stored indoors. She has a paint scheme that endures over time. It is simple, understated and still turns heads everywhere she goes.
She lived most of her life in fresh water inland lakes. She has been in saltwater 3 times and thoroughly flushed for hours after those outings. The name Thunderstruck has been on the boat for years. The current motors are reason enough to keep her named the same. She has two 650 hp at 5500 RPM 572 CI naturally aspirated Big Block Chevrolet motors. These have less than 25 hours since they were built. (I have the dyno sheets somewhere) They are fully forged rotating assemblies. It is deafening to stand behind this boat. I mean they are loud as heck. At speed in the passenger area the motors oddly quiet yet outrageous as the boat passes. Most people would consider these radical motors. They have Holley Dominators, MSD ignition, Holley and GL Manifolds. These motors are bad to the bone and they run on 89 octane marine fuel.
To prepare for these motors the bilge area was completely stripped, screw holes were filled and it was complete refinished. The complete Gimbal Housings and all the trim cylinders were replaced with brand new Mercruiser parts. All Hoses were replaced with the highest quality below deck hose. Every fitting, hose clamp, wire, line was replaced with new. The outdrives were gone through and fully serviced. Anyone can look at the engine compartment and see the quality that went into the rigging process. All this work was completed right at 2 years ago/25 hours ago.
I was told by the previous owner that the boat was repainted at the Fountain factory. I believe it. The paint is nearly flawless. There are only a few spots the size of your pinky nail that are not flawless. Notice on the pictures that you can see a John Deere lawn mower in the side of the boat. Rest assured that it is not painted on but is a reflection. The boat could use a coat of cleaner wax as the upper surfaces are not as shiny as the sides.
Overall this boat is in great shape. But there are things that it needs. The gas is a year old and should be replaced. The stereo is ok but it could use a great sound system. Several of the gauges do not work. One of the motor hatches is intermittent. She could use a full detail. The boat has factory dockside A/C. I have all the fittings, lines, strainers and pumps that are brand new that I have not had time to get installed. The A/C itself is in place it just needs the water supply. There were some GPS products on the dash and have been removed. The holes have been filled but need gel coat or paint to finsh the job.
I ALWAYS call what is right and what is wrong with the stuff that I sell on classifieds board. My 100% rating proves that. Do not believe for a second that there are any boats that are perfect. They were not perfect when they were brand new. Yet sellers and dealers do not disclose any problems until you are the high bidder and you go to pick up the boat. I call it like it is and show pictures of any issues. There are no secrets with my listing. That is why my rating is 100%. I am unaware of anything else that is wrong with the boat other than what I have listed.
- This boat is solid.
Solid Floors, Solid transom no structural issues whatsoever.
- A full high
quality outdoor cover is included.
A friend gave it to me and it has never been on the boat.
- There is a full
mooring cover for the boat.
- One of the trim
tab solenoids needs to be replaced.
- I have never tried
to use the fridge in the boat. It
looks like new.
- The interior looks
discolored in pictures but the seats are that ultra suede. They show marks because they change
color when you run your hand over them.
- The bottom of the
boat looks great
- The bulge could
use a good cleaning.
- The lower units have cones installed and there is some filler chips.
- The seats are
original. They are still very
soft. There are several cracks that
have been sewn up and several others that have not. The seats could use a good cleaning but
are very white when they are cleaned.
There is some wood backing rot behind the side panels. Overall the interior is in very good
shape for its age.
If someone had some time and a $5000 to spend on stereo and some minor things that I listed that need some TLC this boat would be awesome. If you want to do a survey on this boat I am 100% positive that it will pass with no problem.
Overall this boat is in way above average shape for its age the basic hull is a 1991 but everything that is not fiberglass is much newer than that. Most everything mechanical or electrical is new or reman in 2014/2015. It is an 8.5 on a scale of 1 to 10. That means that it is not brand new it also means that it is an awesome boat that is ready for the summer. Realize that my selling price far below what I spent putting this boat together a couple years ago. Ive lost interest. Time for me to move on. I would consider trades but cash is king. I have priced the boat with a wholesale price to move it quickly. Dont expect me to give you retail for your trade against my boat at a wholesale price.
Insurance is important on this kind of boat. I have $1M in liability coverage through Statefarm that cost me $100 a year. I have it insured as a 1991 because of the year of the hull. That saved me thousands of dollars a year in insurance. Not bad for a 80mph boat.
A trailer is not included in this auction. I will however sell the triple axle trailer that the boat is sitting on for $4000. There is a leaking wheel cylinder so the surge brakes do not work. The trailer is set up to strap a boat on and off. It has never been in the water. Tires are decent.
Please have permission from your wife, husband, father, mother, sister, brother, partner, banker, bookie or anyone else that could halt the purchase BEFORE you bid on my boat. I report all none paying bidders to classifieds board. Money must clear the bank and be in my account for me to release the boat and sign over the ownership paperwork. This must take place within 7 days of auction end unless something else is arranged. There is no loan on the boat it is owned free and clear. Of course if I grossly misrepresented the boat I would not expect you to buy it. Thanks and happy bidding.
Folks. Make me an offer. This boat has to go and it has to be worth something to somebody.
