1989 Fountain 33 Lightning "Swim" is one of the first Fountains to feature an integrated swim platform.I have owned this boat since 08/2015 but unfortunately I don't have the time or funds to complete this project. It has been stored at my private residence on the trailer and under a boat cover during this time. The boat needs cockpit and cabin interior to be complete. The original cockpit interior (and my down payment) disappeared via a dishonest upholstery shop so I do not have it. I do have the original Stainless Steel legs for the front bolster seats and they will be included in the sale. The cabin has water damage from a leaking hatch that happened prior to my purchase. The floor in the cabin as well as the v-berth area will need some fiberglass work as a result of the water damage. I believe the damage is limited to the cabin floor and v-berth support structure and does not effect hull integrity. The cockpit floor is rock solid and the stringers appear to be excellent condition.Engines are carb'd 502's supposedly dyno'd at 550HP each. They have a reported 231 hours on them according to the flowscan hourmeters that I believe were installed at the time the engines were installed. (the floscans have since been removed and are not included in this auction). I have never had this boat on the water but I did hear both engines start and run on the hose before I purchased it and they both sounded healthy. Both engines feature Stainless Marine exhaust manifolds and risers. Engines are mated to newer Mercruiser Bravo drives. All engine info is what was provided to me from the previous owners broker. The hull, gelcoat, and paint are in excellent condition for their age. The hull could use a good buff and wax job and the clear coat over the paint has lifted in a few areas particularly on the stripe down the forward deck. I was planning on covering that stripe with a big vinyl Fountain logo like is popular on the newer boats. The hull sides have a bit of dock rash here and there but the clear coat over the paint is much better with only a small bad spot or two. The bow rails looked to be originally blue but were changed to white at some point in their life as were the front bolster legs. Some of the white paint has chipped off the bow rails. I stripped the paint off the legs with chemical stripper to reveal nice stainless steel and was planning on doing the same to the bow rails. There is also a small 6" or so piece of bow rail where the rail terminates into the hull just forward the windshield which is missing on one side. The windshield is a factory fiberglass race faring. The boat is equipped with "Captains Call"/"Silent Choice" exhaust which I assume is inoperable as the actuators are currently physically wired open at all times. In addition to the cabin and cockpit interior the boat will need new batteries and misc wiring and rigging. Some of the control cables are very stiff so they may need some lube or replacement. I'm sure the gas has gone bad so the fuel tanks will need to be pumped out and possibly cleaned.I have a clear Florida Title in hand and will provide it and a bill of sale to a successful bidder. Please feel free to ask any questions you may have and I will do my best to answer them.THIS BOAT IS A PROJECT BOAT AND IS SOLD IN AS-IN/WHERE IS CONDITION.I have tried to be as honest and complete with this description as I can be but the boat is a project and could need other repairs that I have no knowledge of.
