UP FOR AUCTIONA 1970 Evinrude Sportsman 155 Boat with a 1993 Escort Step Side Trailer(Diamond Plate Aluminum STEPS) ***Very Low Reserve***The engine is a V-6 ChevroletThe Boat: This 16 foot boat was actually a new design for 1970.TheSportsman's werethe first to feature a new hull designed by Lars Granholm. He was the (OMC resident naval architect). The out-driveis: EvinrudeAlso adding to this boats testimonyof improved navigation, was the illustrated design engineer,Ralph Lambrecht.Lambrecht (Chief Engineer of OMC Boats Division), had worked with Granholm to create their new design which featured a 22 degree vee cathedral hull, with 4 inches more of dead-riseon the centerVee.The prop is like *NEW*Thisdesign provided the crafts ability to maintain a much more solid and level setting, while navigating rough waters. The design would also make it possible for the boat to somewhat adhere to the water (Vacuum) while in motion, as the hull flowed water through it's vee sections when moving mostly flat in the water. This helped support the designed intent of non-rollovers in the water, along with a more decidedly crisper cut in the water while under way.ELECTRIC SHIFTTowards the rear of the boat, there is the flat portion that will allow for theslow tilt of the engine upwards. This is when theboat willrise at the bow, and lift almost the entireboat, allowing for an increase in speed.Along with this design, there are 2 longitudinal strakes on either side of the keel. The bow "brow" height (below the rub rail) was reduced by about half. There are a few small cosmetic details that need to be addressed, but considering it's age you are lucky to find a boat like this in such well cared for condition.During it's life, we were told that the motor had been rebuilt. Sadly it appears as though the person who owned it at that time, lived in Penn Yan, NY (Keuka Lake) and is now deceased. While the engine does look like it most likely was pulled and rebuilt, we have no way to say for certain that it was rebuilt, or to what extent. However, when we got the boat, we were told that it should only use high test gas with a lead additive. If you get tired while on the lake, the seats collapse into a bed of sorts so you can take a snoozer or tan.The boat features under the seat storage in the front and back. The snap sets are in place should the new owner wish to re-canvas the boat. Currently, there areno canvases with the boat. The engine compartment and engine itself are in good shape....and yes it does run...New oil change.

THE TRAILER: 1993 Escort - The trailer appears to have almostthe same dimensionsas the boat and is a very comfortable fit. Bearings caps were pulled and there appeared to be plenty of grease.
The tires are questionable and one appears weather checked. We had no problems towing it, but please consider the need to replace these tires.New front end wiring to plug. Surge brakes. (this trailer fits this 16 foot boat just right.) Ball size is 1 7/8 to 2"
If you will look at the photos, the trailer shows a slight dusting of rust on the top frame.

Questions
Boat still available? If it is taken off the auction, what would sell the boat today?
Is this boat still for sale? If so, would it be trailerable or would you trust it for a couple hours?
Hi-
Regarding the Evinrude Sportsman you have on Boats from USA. I know it is an old auction, but was wondering if your boat was still available. It looks like it is in great shape for its age, and is something I always liked since I was a kid. I live in SE Pennsylvania and could tow it if it is still available and the trailer is roadworthy for a couple hundtred miles. Thanks. Pete ***
has the boat been sold and if not what is the price , thanks larry
