This is what it took to create this Endurance Race Boat and prices paid for everything:
1991 Eliminator 21 Daytona $16,800.00
Mercury Racing 300x Gold Block with 20 Offshore Midsection and Tuner, 20 Sport Master Lower Unit w/Fat Shaft, Alien Cowl
This engine was purchased as a Turn Key, Low Time Approximately 300 hrs total time, 273hr with RPM below 4000 rpm, Fresh Water Use Only, , Mercury Racing Oil Syth, Engine in Excellent Condition
$13,500.00 is what I paid for it, then I delivered it to Joe @ Dave Bush Racing.
After consulting with DBR we agreed to the project and they gave me a break down of the procedures that will be done to my engine and a loose estimate and time line I could expect.
300x Gold Block Machine Work done at Rucks by Jim Ruck, there were no repairs needed but rather blue printed, tolerance checks, $1400
DBR Dave Bush Racing CnC Porting Work over 200hrs $2000
Fuel Injectors were rebuilt all flow matched and new seals $400,
Rebuilt and upgraded Fuel Pump to support the increased demand work done byDBR $600
Extensive R&D went into the fuel mapping and eventually the fuel curve was chosen and flashed on both our motors. Scott had issues with his after the first 2hrs, I can tell you more later. By the time I ran mine they made I think 6 or more changes and eventually decided on the best overall for Lake Racing this is the flash I have in mine. $$$$$$$ cannot pay for this item.

Reconditioning and BluePrinting of the Daytona Hull:
Fiberglass Restoration by Videl Martinez of Advantage Boats Lake Havasu City
I unrigged the boat initially at the end of 2016.
at the request of Videl,
The fiberglass shop Filled in all the holes on the dashboard and reinforced it underneath with wood gussets and tied it into the vertical formers, after it was all blended they gel coated it white matching the boat, that job cost $1000 and was a test to see his work before we did the big job of flipping the boat and blue printing the bottom.
The bottom of the boat was a standard bottom with the center pod being round, the round is ok and works to add stability to the Hull, by causing the center pad to want to be sucked down in the water where as when the center pad is a raised square pad and lower by a slight margin compared to the outside sponsons. This squared taller pad does two things, the first is the faster you push it, the higher the pressure is between the pad and water surface which naturally lifts the aft bottom, this pad design works on both Vee Hulls and tunnels like my old STV Rocket. Plus when you combine the pad on a Tunnel boat you will get lift from now 2 places, the air entrapment of the tunnels and the pad. The second benefit is in turning at high speed, you now have a edge near center that will bite in and act like its on Rails. Al Stoker from Stoker Boats held this little trade secret close to his chest and when They raced the recent Parker endurance race they dominated the competition!
No one does this kind of Thing because its a lot of darn money for something you will never see. But you certainly can feel!
Blue print on the bottom $4000
Tank-it Mfg.
Custom Built Center Mounted 50 gallon Aluminum Tank Built keeping the Center of gravity down low and on centerline

Livorsi Gauges, Carbon Fiber GPS Monster Speedometer complete unit $600.00, Carbon Fiber water temperature, Carbon Fiber water pressure $300.00
My last expense was paying the Labor Ill was $5000 and it was in the shop for the better part of 14 months...
3 New Props
Mercury Racing Lab Finish Cleaver 14x32 Rh $1150
Signature 4blade ET Lab Finish 15x32 $600
Mercury Racing Lab Finish $900
New Eddie Marine Swim Steps $650 for the pair and not yet installed.
Total cost to build a turn key Endurance race boat that was done right and there were no cut corners.
There are forgotten expenses that are not listed here, I never had a ledger so some things that were minor and that I payed cash for I just dont remember.
Total out of pocket expenses were in the $61,000 range,
Now this boat comes with the original interior that is for pleasure boating, it seats four comfortably with the configuration being two buckets in the front, and a rear bench seat in the back. It also has a rear hatch thats manually lifted and can store all types of outdoor gear, keeping the interior clutter free.
