RARE 1956 ELGIN DeLUXE OPEN RUNABOUT with original McCulloch 60 HP "Flying Scott" outboard. Made with Imported African Okoume wood. Excellent 2010 Custom built Trailer Included.

I bought this a while back for my Private use at the area Wooden Boat shows on the Potomac River. The Flying Scott outboard has the 60 HP rated engine. It's really been loved and kept up to Primo condition by myself and my Marine Mechanic.

This Mini Boat has operated without issues the past few seasons. The watercraft was totally sanded down and any needed weak area's were replaced and recondition to match original placement and stain. It still shines with it's three year old 10 coats of marine varnish. The bottom was sanded and checked for damage. After the bottom was sealed again and painted with a blue color bottom paint. All Soft goods where replaced with a heavy duty marine vinyl covering. At same time added new padding before covering. Looks real Sharp! I have preformed the following work on the outboard and trailer last year: Check and service the water pump, compression test, cleaned plugs and Prop checked - drained and replaced the gear oil. Balanced the tires and put on Buddy bearings. Added new wheeled front stand for better push/pull control when placing in garage.

This will fit five adults conformably. Max weight limit is unknown as it's not yacht certified but I know I had at least 1000 lbs loaded last year. Yes, its true, both the Boat and Trailer are currently regististered (documented) for the state of Virginia and will transfer over to your State without problems. This Trailer is one of the best I have ever towed. It's suspension with shocks hardly moved the boat up or down or side to side when you go over big potholes or bumps doing 70 MPH!This is a hard to find and very hard to come by Montgomery Ward sold, Elgin Deluxe Open Runabout. Im only selling do to my Daughter has one year left in High School, I'm starting too downsize now, so I can buy that ICW trawler in the next few years, Yes Retirement!. Please bid knowing that I'm only placing the reserve price at 90 % of what I spent on it years ago, the added maintaince cost added last year is thrown in under my solid love of boats. $500.00 deposit is due 72 hours after auction close via Paypal.

Full Payment due within 10 working days of auction's close. Failing receipt of either within these time frames without prior arrangements with me via email will result in the item being re-listed and return of your full payment minus the $500.00 deposit.

Local pickup Information I will be available to help you pick up this item most days of the week with prior arrangements with me. For a small charge of $.60 per mile, I would be willing to deliver this item to your location (or meet halfway), not to exceed 500 miles from Woodbridge, VA area 22193.

Shipping SupportI can also support you if you decide to hire a shipping company for pick up at my location. there is plenty of room for pick up and deliveries where I'm located and have done so in the past. You will just need to coordinate with me and link up your driver with me so we can narrow down the pick up date within a 24 hours period. No extra charge for this.

I will ship upon receipt of payment and signed legible copy of your release of accountability of pickup damage for my help. If however I see the delivery make some pickup damage before departure, I will record damage via Photo's and statement for your use after delivery to your location- A big help, believe me!

My Watercraft are sold with no warranty or guarantee of full function, either stated or implied and buyers should consult a qualified Marine Mechanic prior to first use to ensure that Watercraft may be safely used. However, I will only be selling Watercraft that have been personally used my myself and will be in solid working order.

All Deposit refunds are solely at the seller's discretion and returns will not be accepted if they were not approved by the seller.
