The good:You must see it to appreciate this boat. I purchased it new in '88, over $30K. Kept inside for the last 15 years.
472 hours. Starts easily and runs well, Never had any trouble in 25 years of ownership.
Interior and cuddy are in excellent condition and very clean: no split seams, no rips, mold or tears. Teak has always been maintained and shows it.
Cuddy sleeps two. Two more in the cockpit.
Nice deep cockpit area, very dry at speed.
One burner alcohol stovePorta-pottiFull camper canvas and full cockpit cover.
Trailer brake system rebuilt.
The bad:
The engine is leaking cooling water from the seam of the head and the block at the center. No water at all in the oil. Local marina estimates around $1000 to repair, mostly labor.
The power steering cylinder needs the seal replaced...has a slow leak, still operates fine. Easy to do with the heads removed.
I snapped a portion of lower unit skeg off the last time in the water...first time I ever hit anything. :( Damaged the original prop as well. I have a brand new one installed.
Small "dig" in the hull under the waterline, less than 1/2" in diameter. Not sure how it got there. Easily fixed with a $20 gelcoat touch up kit.
Could use a polishing above the gunnel.
Bowrail damaged when a storage building at the local fairgrounds collapsed. I have a complete replacement on a parts boat (exact same vessel). All you have to do is unscrew it and move it over.
Trailer could use some paint. If you are mechanically inclined, this is one very nice boat for the money. I will gladly start and run the engine in the driveway for a serious buyer. Please don't waste my time if you are not serious.LOCAL PICK-UP ONLY: I cannot deliver, you will be responsible for removing from mypremises within two weeks of the auction end. There is no warranty expressed or implied: boat and trailer are where is as is. I have tried to describe the condition as accurately as possible and am not hiding anything.Terms are $500.00 non-refundable deposit via PayPal at auction end, balance in cash or certified check from a US Bank within seven days of auction end. Questions
Hi, I have same exact boat (I live in Finland) but with Detroit diesel 6.2 engine - I was wondering if you could help me find out how heavy Mercruiser / Alpha 1 is? Also, do you know if they all came with that engine or there were different configurations? Thanks! Roman.
Good afternoon. I have owned this model in the past and it mad a really fun, versatile, family boat for us. The question I have is (a transaction separate from this) what Marina did you get the quote for the water leak from? Was the estimate in writing? My wife and I have discussed this purchase and, frankly, we are interested in your boat. We would come pick up (live in Michigan) but would like to know that the mechanical issues are taken care of. You've done a wonderful job of maintaining her and, we think we might want to continue that legacy.
Have you sold this boat?
